30 Chapter 30: A Genuine White, Rich, and 

Beautiful Woman

In her previous life, Lai Yuaner became a top actress precisely because she starred in the country’s first crime film ‘Original Sin‘. 

After leaving the academic building, Tang Li went to the Capital Movie Academy’s auditorium. 

An audition event was being held inside the auditorium.

This audition was for the female secondary lead, a role with substantial 

screen time. 

Since it was Capital Movie Academy’s centennial celebration and the film would be released on the same day, Ruan Jiang, who graduated from Capital Movie Academy, secured the role of Ying Xuaner for the students of 

his alma mater. 

In her previous life, Tang Li did not know about this audition. 

By the time she accepted the fact that she had to move to East Suburb and returned to school, the crew of ‘Original Sin‘ had already started filming, and the cast list published had Lai Yuaner as Ying Xuaner. 

In the film, Ying Xuaner was a renowned ballet dancer who performed at the Hive at the age of eight. By the time she was 18, she had already become a prominent figure in the ballet world of country S. Coupled with her superior family background, she was seen as the favored child of heaven. Yet, this young dancer, with her high intelligence and meticulous planning,

The investors finalized Lai Yuaner for the role because she resembled the character Ying Xuaner in many aspects. 

Actually, Lai Yuaner herself did not like the role. 

One could even say she detested it. 

She took on the film because of Lai Shengxia. 

Lai Shengxia had predicted that ‘Original Sin‘ would take her sister’s career to another peak. 

And the final outcome proved it so. 

Because Lai Yuaner was so opposed to playing a murderer, Ouyang Qian specifically invested more in the film to have the screenwriter significantly modify Ying Xuaner’s role while also increasing her own daughter’s screen 

time in the film. 

However, during the post–editing process, the director tried as much as possible to restore the character of Ying Xuaner. 

By the time the film was released, it had crossed a billion in box office revenue within seven days. 

Tang Li watched the roadshow interviews of ‘Original Sin‘. During the segment where reporters asked questions, Ruan Jiang merely described his impression of Lai Yuaner as ‘a relatively lively actress‘. 

Star and actor, two completely different concepts. 

Even so, Lai Yuaner still received high honor because of “Ying Xuaner.”
