Brian looked at Judy, her face glowing with satisfaction.
It was obvious she had just come out of an intimate encounter.

There was no need to say it out loud.

“Do you have something to say?”
Judy spoke impatiently, “If not, then step out. I still have things to deal with.”

“Miss Judy, I do have something to say.”
Brian hesitated for a moment but still decided to speak up.
He couldn’t bear to watch her throw herself away like this.

The reason he followed her in the first place was because she was bold, full of drive, and willing to take risks.
She might not have been the smartest, but she had guts, and that meant she had a future worth betting on.

He placed a hand over his heart and spoke with emotion. “Miss Judy–no, Judy–I really do like you.
“Can’t you see me? I’ve been by your side for so long, watching you grow from nothing to everything you are now.
“That’s why we’re the best partners, aren’t we?‘
Judy’s eyes widened.
She had imagined many things, but she never expected Brian to actually have feelings for her.
She had assumed it was just her own misunderstanding.
But now, faced with Brian’s raw passion and grievance, she truly didn’t know how to respond.
Judy gave an awkward, strained smile. “Brian, I think you really need to calm down.”
“I am calm!”
