When they got home, Jessica was removing her makeup in front of the mirror.
Chris stood behind her, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, staring at the floor in a daze with a meaningful expression.
Jessica looked at Chris through the mirror.
“Thinking about Mandy?”
“Yeah.”
He had originally thought the person manipulating Megan was in Room 316, but after the investigation, that possibility was ruled out.

“I suspect it’s Luke,” said Jessica.
Chris looked up at Jessica.
