Upon hearing the news, Madam Felton was sad for quite a while, but was eventually cheered up by a few younger family members.
“That’s right. Your parents were friends, and now you should spend more time together too. Even if you’re
not business partners, you’re still friends, and in the future, you can help each other through difficulties,”
said Madam Felton, holding Jessica’s hand.
Nina and Roy sat across from them. Nina was holding her phone, looking at the trending topics about company artists during the New Year period, while Roy tilted his head, talking with Chris.
“Our family is big but not peaceful. I heard that a few days ago, there was an internal corporate spy in the
company who stole a lot of artist information. It’s really a time when friends are needed.”
Jessica didn’t know about this. She instinctively glanced at Nina.
Nina looked up from her phone briefly at Jessica and nodded silently. She locked her phone screen and put it aside, propping her chin on her hand.
“It probably happened about a week before the holiday. Some artists‘ data was stolen, but nothing has
been exposed publicly yet.”
“A week ago? We ate together, didn’t we? Why didn’t you say anything?”
“There was nothing to say. I’m just waiting for the bomb to drop, then we’ll do crisis PR immediately. But
from what I see, the thief didn’t steal the artist data to leak it–they probably have other plans. I need to
wait.”
Chris wasn’t very familiar with the entertainment industry, but because of Nina’s rumored relationship
with Matthew, he had done some digging on these people.
“That’s enough. You kids can talk about company matters outside. I’m tired,” said Madam Felton.
It seemed Madam Felton wanted to leave space for the younger ones.
No one besides Madam Felton needed visiting in the Felton family. However, when they came out of the
room, they saw several people downstairs sitting together, looking up at them.
“Your family is pretty lively,” Jessica remarked.
Roy didn’t look away from his path and took them to his room.
“Grandma’s old now. She likes the house to be lively. These people are easy to handle–they don’t say inappropriate things in front of Grandma. But behind the scenes, Nina and I has heard a lot of gossip.‘
Nina’s and Roy’s rooms were next to each other and connected by an internal door.

The two rooms were already large, and the extra connecting door made it even more surprising.
“Our parents haven’t managed the family affairs these years. The two of us set this up as a precaution. You know I don’t come home often. Having the two rooms connected makes it hard to tell which room is
empty.”
Chris didn’t expect that the Felton family was like this.
“Why didn’t you tell me? This is an important matter,” Jessica asked Nina as soon as she sat down.
Nina shrugged. “I thought since it was almost the New Year, I’d add to your worries. I already had people tracking them. We checked company surveillance and identified some suspects. My brother will follow
up.”
“It’s convenient to have a cop in the family. No need to call the police–just having dinner at home counts as filing a case,” said Chris.
Nina sighed. “There’s nothing we can do. There aren’t many things that Roy can do to help me.”
They stayed in Roy’s room until noon before leaving, without staying for lunch.
Francesca called Chris, saying someone was coming to visit and told him to hurry home to be the family
mascot.
Fortunately, everything at home was already prepared, so there was no need to shop last minute.
Being the family mascot wasn’t easy!
