I was heading back to my room when the three caretakers of the palace approached me. They were more like low level advisors of mine, and since they practically raised me up, they tend to fuss over me more than I liked. They were also most loyal to me, so I kept them by my sides. They had been right outside with my betas when I had returned with my mate about an hour ago.
As I stared at them, I decided that I wasn’t in the mood of any conversation right now. As a matter of fact, I wanted to desperately forget the fact that my mate whom I had desperately searched for is a shameless cheat. When I returned back here with her, I had genuinely thought I’d spend the entire night buried inside of her, and not be angry whenever she crossed my mind.
“Where is she?” I asked, referring to Elena.
“In the south wing, she was given a room there.” Pamela explained, she was the youngest of the bunch.
I nodded tensely and turned to leave when they stopped me.
“Your majesty, a word?”
I tensed up as I turned back around to face them. “I’m actually pretty beat up right now. Can we do this tomorrow?”
“This is important, your majesty. Have you decided on what you’re gonna do with her?” Ella spoke this time, she was the one I was closest to.
“I haven’t.” I gruffed out and she huffed.
“You need to though, you can’t just keep her here with no purpose. As it is; the news of you finding your fated mate had spread through the palace. In no time, it’s gonna spread through the pack, then your pack members are gonna be curious. What are you gonna do by then? Are you gonna present that woman to them?” Ella continued and I let out a frustrated sigh.
“Of course not, why would I do that? The pack members aren’t even gonna accept someone like that.” I bit
out.
“So what are you gonna do? You know you can’t reject her. Your beast would never let you.” Rita spoke this time, she was the timid and reserved of the trio.
“I need to think. We’ll continue this conversation tomorrow.” I told them as I turned away and began to walk towards my bedroom. When I got inside this time, the flower mess had been cleared off and I let out a sigh as I walked up to my bedside table to pour myself a drink.
I felt restless. My beast was more restless within me. He was insisting that we go over to the sought wing to go see Elena. I was such a greedy and horny animal so I ignored him as I shrugged out of my tight shirt.
Unfortunately for me, on closing my eyes, all that I could see in my mind was an image of Elena. Those eyes and lips of hers.

I let out a frustrated growl as I slammed open the mindlink connection that I shared with my betas and gave a
brisk order.
“Get Naya for me.”
I was too restless to sit and wait for some unknown reason and so I quickly went to shower.
On leaving the shower, Naya was waiting naked in my bed. The sight pleased me, it was a sight I was used to, not still never getting old. However, my beast was irritated. He never liked Naya’s scent and always complained about it. Tonight, he was outrightly furious and wanted us to be with Elena and no one else. Not being clearly ridiculous so I shoved him to the back of my mind as I approached the bed and dropped the towel.
Her mild scent hit my nose which twitched for a moment, but the mild discomfort that always comes whenever I smell her scent was gone in an instant as I climbed into the bed. She’s the only woman whose scent I’ve been able to tolerate. The other women I’ve tried to bed, I’ve always had to end up throwing them out because their scents was way too bad for me to endure.
Naya and I have been fucking regularly for over three yests. She worked here in the palace, once a lowlife maid, now the head of the royal kitchen after I transformed her life. I wouldn’t say I loved her because I never felt strongly about her, but I liked her enough and had even tried to get her pregnant so she’d birth me a heir, but it never stays after three days, because of my curse.
I’d have also made her my luna if I could, because it would be extremely convenient for me. Naya was loving, kind and hardworking and I was certain she’d make a good Luna. However, my advisors already made me understand that she wasn’t a good enough fit for the throne because of so many reasons, and her being a beta was a part of the numerous reasons.
She cupped my face and wordlessly tugged me down into a kiss.
She could already feel that I wasn’t in the mood to speak. One thing I liked about her was how I didn’t always have to tell her everything, she could read moods perfectly, which worked really well for me.
What I need right now is a good and hard fuck to chase away the restless spirit trapped in my chest and that’s what I’m about to get right now.
I have five betas. Two travelled on a trip for an issue related to my throne, while the remaining three remained in the palace: Zion, Ezra and Nate.
They were with me right now in my office, and we were all staring at the flat screen tv here in my office, opposite my desk and seat. Right there on the tv, news of the wedding of mine which I didn’t attend was being aired.
As expected, so many speculations were already going around on the internet. Most of the speculation was over why I didn’t show up, and some was over curiosity of what my bride looked like beneath the veil. The remaining was over or the wedding was real or not.
I shook my head just as one of my betas switched off the tv. I felt relieved that Elena’s face had been underneath that veil throughout the stupid wedding. If her face had been unveiled, people would have instantly recognized who she was, which would have undoubtedly led into another disaster.

“Take care of this mess and put out a statement explaining that the wedding was a russ to distract an enemy of the pack, but I’ve taken care of the enemy so they all have nothing to be worried about.” I said and they all bowed in understanding.
They all turned and left after that, just as Naya sauntered into my office. She walked around my desk to drop over my laps. I ignored her and began to flip through the list of files I needed to sign.
Being an alpha of all alphas wasn’t child’s play.
Maya began to massage my head and neck and I sighed as some of the tension bled out. She had a knack for those.
“Your majesty?” She began, voice meek and I paused to stare at her. As I looked into her eyes, I found myself unconsciously wondering why they were brown and not a mixture of green and orange with a dusting of floating browns. It took a moment to realize I was unconsciously comparing her to Elena, and that realization was like a slap across my face.
“I was wondering, now that you’ve found your mate, you’ll have no more use for me and would be done with me, right?”
Her face gave nothing away and she continued to massshs my throat.
After a few moments, I let out a laugh.
“Stop being delusional, because that won’t ever happen, and I’m not gonna accept my mate anyway, so nothings gonna change.”
This time, a grin tugged at her lips and she leaned forward to kiss my cheek, her arms tightening around me.
“Alright, your majesty.”
When she pulled away, her eyes were sparking and her face looked like it was glowing as she spoke. “Would you like me to prepare your favorite for you this morning?”
Despite not having to cook herself anymore now that she was the head of the kitchen, she still prepared my own meal herself. I gave a nod of my head as my eyes briefly moved to the clock at the top of the door.
“Alright! I’ll be done in a few hours!” She kissed my cheek again before jumping off my legs and walking out of the office. I let out a sigh as I resumed my work, suddenly feeling drained.
I was body flipping through the file when a message came from Nate, one of my betas.
“Your majesty… I just saw your mate having a conversation with your father in his wing.”
Rage quickly exploded through my mind as I listened to those words.
