1.Chapter 1 The Goddess Of War

The North Ocelia Ocean battlefield had just gone through a brutal fight. Right now, the ground was littered with bodies. High-tech weapons were scattered everywhere among the wreckage.

Above, fighter jets kept flying back and forth as teams from the Blaze War Department worked to clean up the mess.

Suddenly, a black SUV sped across the bloodstained field. Behind the wheel was a girl, no older than twenty. She wore a sharp black uniform and a beret, her stunning but cold face like something out of a dream.

With a smooth, sharp turn, she pulled up right in front of Louis Edwards, one of the top generals overseeing the cleanup.

Louis ran over and respectfully opened the car door for her.

The moment she stepped out, all three thousand soldiers on the field stopped what they were doing, snapped to attention, and saluted in perfect unison. They exclaimed, “Bravo, Ms. Blackwood.”

Their shouts shook the skies, burning with pure awe and admiration. Their eyes practically lit up with respect and pride.

This girl was none other than Luna Blackwood, the legendary warrior of the Blaze War Department.

She joined the Department at fifteen. In less than five years, she had pulled off countless victories, completed missions that everyone else thought were impossible, and become a living legend within the Department.

She was unmatched, both as a fighter and as a strategist. From the lowest ranks, she fought her way up to become the so-called goddess of war, feared and respected by all.

And this time, her force of just three thousand had wiped out an enemy army of one hundred thousand. Not only that, they’d won without a single casualty.

Luna raised her hand. Instantly, the cheering stopped.

She announced, “Good job, everyone. All of you will be rewarded once we return.”

Once Luna finished her words, the soldiers snapped another salute and cheered even louder this time.

“Keep cleaning up,” Luna ordered, turning around and getting back into the SUV, her face still icy and unreadable.

A massive warplane flew them back to Blaze War Department HQ. Once it landed, Luna stepped off the plane.

Just then, a strange voice came through her earpiece. “Luna, help me. I think I’m gonna die. I’m scared, Luna.”

“Ethan?” Luna abruptly stopped her track, her expression instantly turning gloomy.

Even Louis, who was right behind her, was stunned by her reaction.

Normally, Luna was cool and serious. But now, she looked like a demon from hell. Her whole body radiated a deadly air.

“Find out where my brother is,” she ordered, her voice cold and flat.

Louis didn’t dare waste a second. He rushed off to start the search.

Soon after, more than a dozen warplanes took off together. The sight was absolutely overwhelming.

Meanwhile, in a hot, humid jungle hut, about a dozen blonde kids were being held prisoner. Some of them were already barely breathing from the torture.

Among them, two boys around five years old were conspicuous. One had blood smeared across his face, but even that couldn’t hide how striking his features were. The other kid looked pale and weak, drenched in sweat.

“Ethan, am I gonna die?” the pale boy whispered. “I don’t feel good. I wanna see my mom.”

The bloodied boy grabbed his hand tightly and comforted, “Aiden, no way you’re dying. I already called my sister. She’s coming. I’m tellin’ you, my sister’s a total badass. She’s not gonna let anything happen to us.”

That boy, brave and fierce despite the injury, was Luna’s six-year-old brother, Ethan Blackwood.
