Ohvia leaned into Eliot’s arms without hesitation, her eyes full of affection as she looked up at him. “It’s okay, honey. You know I’d wait for you no matter what.”
Eliot flashed a smile. “Babe, I promise I’ll give you a wedding you’ll never forget”
Olivia’s smile grew even more radiant when she heard his promise. At that moment, she only had eyes for
him.
Just then, Eliot’s phone rang. He picked it up, said a few words, then turned and walked out to meet someone.
As soon as Eliot left, Celeste rushed over to Olivia and said, “Olivia, Luna arrived. Did you see her? She looks
stunning today. Pretty obvious she’s trying to steal the spotlight here.”
Olivia frowned, thinking. What is she even talking about? Luna’s just some washed–up ex–con, a total nobody. How could she ever compare to me?”
“Where is she?” asked Olivia.
She’d already stolen everything that was supposed to belong to Luna. Now, Olivia couldn’t wait to see the look on Luna’s face.
Celeste smirked. ‘She’s with Grandma. You know how much Grandma always hates their family. Showing up now? They’re definitely in for it.”
Judy had never liked Luna and her family. Honestly, it wasn’t even dislike–it was straight–up ruthless.
Olivia said, “Let’s go check it out.”
Since Eliot wasn’t back yet, Olivia figured she might as well go enjoy Luna’s embarrassment. After all, she sent the invitation, just so she’d have the perfect excuse to mock Luna publicly.
Now that Luna showed up, Olivia wasn’t going to let that chance slip by.
In one of the hotel’s ballrooms, Sophia had just arrived with Luna and Ethan. From the moment they stepped inside, Sophia felt uneasy.
Judy had tried to wipe their whole family off the map. And Dylan almost sold Ethan to Penumbra Group Sophia knew damn well that these people wanted them gone for good.
With an event like this today, Sophia had no idea what Judy might pull.
Sophia subconsciously gripped Luna’s hand tighter. Luna noticed and gave her a reassuring squeeze back, saying. “Mom, it’s okay. I’m here. No one’s gonna mess with us.”
Sophia felt a wave of relief at Luna’s words. Luna’s voice was firm, full of strength.

Sophia finally cracked a smile and said, “Lama, you know your grandma is always controlling, and she’s never liked us. No matter what happens, don’t say anything, okay? Let me handle it.
After all, the Blackwood family and the White family were both powerful now–too powerful for them to go against.
“Mom. I don’t wanna get inside. Grandma’s scary” Ethan said, tugging at Sophia’s hand.
Sophia was wavering too. Part of her wondered if they should just turn around.
But with the White family basically running the show now, and Olivia about to marry into it, there was really nowhere left for them to run.
Just then, the person leading them in got impatient and shoved Sophia forward. Sophia stumbled a little from the push.
“Move it. Madam is waiting. She doesn’t like to be kept waiting, Diana Smith snapped.
Diana was Judy’s personal maid whom Judy brought from her own family when she married into the Blackwood family. Diana had been working for Judy for many years, so she always acted arrogantly. She never once treated Sophia’s family with any respect.
“Diana, that’s enough!” Sophia snapped. No matter what, Sophia was Donald’s wife, the lady of the Blackwood family. However, a maid even dared to bark at her.
“Oh, Mrs. Sophia Blackwood, are you mad?” Diana smirked. “I didn’t say anything. Just told you to move. Are you expecting Madam to wait on you or something?”
Diana clearly believed that she had real power. As just a maid, she wouldn’t normally dare behave like this. But with Judy backing her, Diana basically ruled the roost in the Blackwood family. Even Olivia treated her with some respect. No wonder she felt untouchable.
“You-“Sophia was so furious that she could barely speak.
Luna had no patience for this nonsense. She stepped forward, grabbed Diana’s wrist, and yanked her back. hard. Just like that, Diana hit the floor.
Diana was stunned. She hadn’t expected Luna to actually lay hands on her.
“Ms. Luna Blackwood, what the hell are you doing? I’m over fifty. How could you put your hands on me?” Diana shouted, scrambling to sit up. Even though she was just a maid, in the Blackwood family, she had real
clout.
“Apologize to my mother.” Luna finally spoke, her voice cold. She usually didn’t bother with people like Diana, but now that this woman had dared to lay a hand on her mom, she wouldn’t let it slide.
Diana looked like she’d just been insulted. “Apologize? Ms. Luna Blackwood, I don’t see what I did wrong. What exactly should I be saying sorry for?”
Diana thought, ‘Feel free to act high and mighty. When you see Judy, you have to beg for mercy!

Touchers
All the shouting had already reached the main hall, Judy, supported by a maid, came over to see what the fuss was about. The first thing she saw was Diana lying on the floor.
Judy frowned, clearly annoyed and confused,
The moment Diana saw Judy, she scrambled over and clutched her leg like a lifeline. “Madam, you’ve got to stand up for me. I was just doing what you asked, bringing them in, and then Ms. Luna Blackwood attacked
me
–
Tears and snot were pouring down Diana’s face as she whined and wailed.
“Well, well, Luna,” Judy snapped. “Just got outta prison and already causing trouble? Seems you didn’t learn your lesson over these years.”
Diana had never married and had served Judy all her life. Judy treated her like family and couldn’t stand seeing her mistreated.
“Judy, you’ve got it all wrong. Diana pushed me first. Luna only stepped in to protect me,” Sophia said firmly.
Sophia hated Judy so much. Ever since her husband’s car crash, Sophia had never believed it was just an accident. She’d spent years digging but came up with nothing.
“Mrs. Sophia Blackwood,” Diana sobbed even harder, “how could you make up something like that? I never touched you.”
“Enough, Diana, Judy cut her off. Today is Olivia’s engagement party. Quit crying. It looks bad.”
Diana nodded while wiping her tears. “I see, Madam.”
“Luna, apologize to Diana now,” Judy ordered. In the Blackwood family, Judy’s word was law, and no one questioned her authority.
“Apologize?” Luna sneered, like she’d just heard the most ridiculous thing ever. Her eyes turned icy as she retorted, “Old hag, you must be dreaming.”
“You-“Judy’s face twisted in anger. She turned to shout at Sophia, “Look, is this how you teach your daughter? I’m her grandmother. How can she be so rude to me?”
Judy was furious. No one had ever dared talk back to her like that in the family. She ordered, “Someone, get her. Teach her how to talk to me properly.
The guards standing nearby immediately stepped forward, surrounding Luna, Sophia, and Ethan.
