Luna sneered. “I knew you guys were up to no good. Well, let me do Harold a favor and discipline his men.
The current top commander of the Division was Harold Sloane. In Metroville, his word was law.
“You dare speak Commander Sloane’s name directly? You’ve got a lot of nerve,” one of the officers barked. Guns were still pointed at her, but none of them dared to make the first move.
Luna was simply too fast. If it came down to reflexes and gunplay, none of them were sure they could beat her.
“What’s wrong with that? I can’t call him by his name?” Luna smirked. A year ago, Harold had trained for a while at the Blaze War Department, where Luna had personally drilled him. Back then, he’d been nothing more than her tagalong.
Another one warned, “You’re openly holding a commander hostage, and now you’re calling the supreme commander by name. Every one of these is a capital offense.”
Harold’s reputation was legendary in Metroville. People believed it was because of him that the city stayed safe and steady.
“Enough talk,” Luna snapped. “If Harold has a problem with that, he can come here and tell me himself. As for you, get lost. This is a family feud among us. It’s none of your business.”
She had already been nice enough. If they kept pressing her, she wouldn’t hold back.
“And the rest of you, the engagement party is over. Leave now,” she added, sweeping her gaze across the
guests.
There were still things she needed to ask Judy. The “accident” from five years ago was no accident at all. She’d waited too long for answers.
The ordinary guests didn’t need to be told twice. They fled in a rush, terrified of getting caught in the crossfire.
The officers hesitated to move. They looked at Eliot. After all, Eliot was their leader. If they left now, they’d have no standing left in the Division.
“Didn’t you h
you hear me?” Luna’s voice cut sharply.
If it wasn’t out of respect for Harold, she would’ve already wiped them all out. In the Blaze War Department, insubordination was a deadly offense.
“Leave now, and bring Commander Sloane here,” Eliot finally said through gritted teeth. He had no other choice. He had lost both his dignity and control. He mused that in Metroville, only Harold, a true High–Level Martial Artist, could possibly turn this around.
At that, the officers quickly withdrew. Harold was fiercely protective of his own men, and Eliot was his star disciple. They were certain Harold wouldn’t leave Eliot in disgrace.

From the shadows, Noah and Julian still kept a close eye on the scene. Noah couldn’t help but think, ‘Man, she’s terrifying. If Julian really does marry her someday, and they ever fight, who knows who’d win?”
The Blackwoods, meanwhile, shook in fear. Judy knew Luna’s temper well. She could see now that Luna hadn’t come for pleasantries. She’d come for revenge.
“Luna, you’d better run while you can,” Judy said. “What you’ve done is punishable by death. Once Commander Sloane gets here, he’ll never let you go
Luna ignored Judy’s words and pulled a chair over for Sophia. Sophia had spat blood earlier from the shock and anger.
“Mom, sit and rest for a while. Give me half an hour. I’ve got a few questions to ask. Once I’m done, I’ll take you home,” Luna said gently. Her tone with Sophia was the complete opposite of how she’d just spoken to everyone else.
“Sure, sweetheart. Whatever you want to do, I’ll stand by you,” Sophia replied.
In Sophia’s eyes, her daughter had only turned into this because the Blackwoods had pushed her too far. Her heart ached at the thought of what Luna must have endured in prison to become this strong.
Sophia held Ethan close in her embrace.
Luna turned her attention back to the Blackwoods. She asked, ‘T’ll ask a few questions. Tell me what you know. If you lie, you already know what I’m capable of.”
Her eyes locked on Judy, her so–called grandmother.
Olivia clung to Eliot but didn’t dare speak. She was supposed to be the Blackwood family’s hope, yet in front of Luna, she couldn’t get a word out.
The current Luna was too terrifying for Olivia to challenge.
Eliot stayed silent too. He couldn’t deny that Luna was ruthless. But under all that ruthlessness, her beauty was hard to ignore.
From his vantage point, Julian caught the expression on Eliot’s face. His jaw tightened, his eyes darkened. He thought to himself, “That bastard dares look at my woman like that? He’s begging to die.
“What do you even want to know? None of this has anything to do with me. I don’t know anything,” Celeste blurted out. Normally arrogant, she now looked like the weakest one in the room.
Luna gave her a single glance, and Celeste instantly shut her mouth, too terrified to go on. She couldn’t believe that just five years ago, Luna was a nobody. Now, one look from her felt like a blade to the throat.
Under Luna’s sharp gaze, the room went dead silent.
Luna’s gaze slid to Diana. The woman had served Judy the longest and knew plenty of the Blackwoods’s dirty
Secrets.

Diana’s face went pale under Luna’s stare. She stammered, “M–Ms. Luna Blackwood, don’t look at me like that please. I don’t know anything. I’m just a maid. How could I know?” She was always arrogant, but she was truly
afraid now.
“Diana, shut your mouth,” Judy barked, her voice sharp. Diana’s panic only proved she knew something.
“Madam, I’ve been with you for so many years. I’ve given my loyalty to you. I don’t want to die,” Diana cried. She’d followed Judy through countless schemes, never fearing anyone. But Luna’s cold stare broke her.
Luna smirked and thought, ‘Five years ago, they were all cocky, weren’t they? Now look at them, all pathetic cowards.
“First question. Who sold Ethan to the Penumbra Group?” Luna asked.
She thought bitterly, ‘Ethan is only six. If I hadn’t arrived in time, he would already be in pieces, his organs. sold off. He’s just a child. Is he even a threat to them? How could they be so cruel to a child?‘
“Ms. Luna Blackwood, don’t look at me, please. I really don’t know anything.” Diana was on the verge
Luna let out a cold laugh. She raised the gun and blew across the barrel, like a reaper fresh from the battlefield. She growled, “Looks like if I don’t kill someone tonight, none of you will talk.”
