“Dad and Mom really miss you. They want you to come home and see them.”
Wendy glanced at Judy without a change in expression. “So, you won’t be misled by those with ulterior motives and forget where your home is.”
“What do you mean by that, Wendy?”
Kenneth was protective. “If you want me to come back, then speak properly and show Judy some
respect.”
Judy listened calmly to the two of them.
She knew it wasn’t very appropriate to stay here listening, but at this moment she didn’t know where else
to go.
Just like Wendy said, this house belonged to her brother.
So, no matter where she went, it made no difference. She might as well stay in this room and listen to
their conversation.
If she went to another room, Wendy might accuse her of stealing something.
If she was framed with another charge, she would have no way to defend herself.
She was already very clear on these tricks.
“Judy?” Wendy sneered.
“You sure call her affectionately, but who knows what she really thinks. Being with you now, of course she’s after your money. Only you, the fool, would still be sitting here grinning.”
“After his money?” Judy couldn’t help but laugh when she heard this.
Seeing that, Kenneth’s heart sank.
He strode quickly to Wendy and said sharply, “Don’t talk nonsense. You have no ability yourself, so you think everyone else is the same?”
“What do you mean by that? So, what if I was born into a good family, is that a crime?” Wendy stiffened her neck, refusing to admit she was wrong.
Looking at his sister like this, Kenneth felt she had really been spoiled all these years.
She had developed such an arrogant character and even looked down on others like this.
His gaze shifted and landed on the design drafts on Judy’s desk.

He grabbed them and threw them onto his sister.
“Look at this. These are her designs. How is that the same as you, a useless person who does nothing but stay at home? You suck the family dry every day, and then assume everyone else is just like you, isn’t
that right?”
Those words only deepened Wendy’s resentment toward Judy.
Without even glancing at the so–called drafts, she tossed them aside.
“Anyway, I came today just to pass on the family’s message. They’ve already arranged a blind date for you, not for you to mess around with a woman like her.”
Wendy pointed at Judy. “Everything I saw here today, I’ll report truthfully to the family. Treat me this way, and you’ll regret it.”
With that, she walked straight out of the room.
Kenneth didn’t stop her.
Judy let out a sigh and stepped closer to him. “Why bother getting worked up over her, she’s just a kid.”
“A kid?” Kenneth scoffed. “She’s already in her twenties, old enough to be talking about marriage. She’s
not a child anymore.”
He reached out and wrapped his arm around Judy’s shoulders. “Besides, you two are about the same age. Why bother defending her? She just treated you like that.”
Nestling into his arms, Judy shook her head sensibly. “It’s fine. And she wasn’t wrong either. Right now, I really am relying on you, and I’m still living in your house.”
