Chapter 1166
Lucas strode down, at first unable to believe what his eyes were seeing.
But once he confirmed it was indeed Aurora, his face darkened, his entire presence radiating a terrifying
pressure.
Leon sensed something was wrong. Glancing left, he saw a strikingly handsome man walking steadily toward them.
Puzzled, he asked the group, “Do any of you know him?”
“Nope. If I knew a guy that handsome, I’d have already thrown myself at him,” one woman answered with
stars in her eyes.
“Exactly. This is the first time I’ve ever seen someone that good–looking. I definitely don’t remember him
before.”
“Yeah, with a face like that, one look would have been unforgettable.”
The women around Leon all stared dreamily at Lucas as he approached.
Leon rubbed his forehead helplessly. These women–any time they saw a decent–looking man, they lost
all composure.
He tugged at Megan, who was still dancing wildly. “Megan, do you know this guy?”
Something told him that man had to be connected either to Megan or to the friend she’d brought along.
But Megan’s mind was fuzzy from drink. She glanced at him and mumbled, “What are you talking about?”
“Look there.” Leon pointed again, his gut warning him trouble was coming if he didn’t say something.
Megan followed his gaze and instantly froze.
“Oh, shit!”
One glance was enough. Wasn’t that her cousin?
She was done for.
Panic shot through her as she rushed to Aurora’s side, urging, “Aurora, stop drinking–something’s wrong. really wrong!”
Aurora was still caught up in the high, not understanding “What’s wrong? What happened?”
She was having the time of her life, nothing felt important enough to interrupt that.
But before Megan could force the words out, Lucas was already standing right behind Aurora.

Aurora froze, at a loss for words.
Megan, inwardly on the verge of tears, thought, “Bestie, it’s not that I don’t want to save you–it’s that I can’t. At this point, you’re on your own.”
Seeing Megan throwing her frantic winks without saying a word, Aurora’s heart sank.
A chill crept up her back.
Could it be…
She gave a dry laugh. “Megan, is there someone standing right behind me?”
Megan nodded furiously.
But she didn’t dare speak.
With the way Lucas‘ eyes were burning right now, she was sure that if she said a single word more, she
wouldn’t leave here alive.
Aurora understood instantly.
If she wasn’t mistaken, Lucas was standing right behind her.
She swallowed hard, uncertain how to face him.
The next second, his voice came low and menacing at her ear. “Honey, is it fun, dancing in a place like
this?”
Cold sweat broke out across her back.
Her head, hazy from drink, cleared in an instant.
“Lucas, let me explain…” Aurora turned around and when she saw his face, dark as thunder, her vision went black. She wished she could sink straight into the floor.
With an expression like that on him, she truly had no idea what to say.
Megan, watching Aurora still caught mid–dance, only wanted to flee the scene herself.
