“Then in that case, Miss, I think I know what kind of place would suit you,” the agent suddenly spoke
with more certainty.
“But this courtyard house… it won’t be easy to arrange.”
Aurora looked at her, not quite understanding what she meant.
“Isn’t it just a rental? What’s the difference?” Megan asked, equally confused by the agent’s words. If the property was available, what could be so difficult about renting it?
The agent scratched her head awkwardly.
“The problem is, the owner is a rather stubborn old man. Even our manager has to tread carefully when speaking with him.
“And he did say the place could be rented out, but he made it very clear–it has to go to someone he considers ‘the right person.”
When she had first heard that, the agent herself hadn’t known how to react.
How could you tell if someone was ‘the right person‘ when it came to renting a house?
She had just thought the old man was being unreasonable. If he wanted to rent it, why wait for fate?
But Aurora’s interest sparked the moment she heard it.
“Can you take us to see it?” she asked the agent, her eyes serious.
She wasn’t joking in the slightest.
Megan looked at her in surprise. “Aurora, do you really mean to go ask that old man to rent the courtyard
house to us?”
“Of course,” Aurora answered decisively.
She had no hesitation and liked a challenge.
Since there was a place that suited her vision, she wasn’t about to settle for less.
“All right, I’ll go with you.”
Megan was happy too, glad she could face all of this alongside Aurora. As long as it was something Aurora wanted to do, she would give her best to help make it happen.
“I’m coming as well,” Ian said without hesitation.
“We already agreed we’d be working together, sharing both success and failure. Since it’s something

difficult, I definitely won’t back down.”
“Good. I appreciate both of your support.” Aurora was deeply moved.
The agent stood nearby, watching.
She didn’t really understand, but she was touched by the bond between them.
“Come with me. I can take you inside the courtyard, but the actual negotiations will have to be with the owner,” the agent explained, making sure to be clear to avoid any trouble later.
Aurora didn’t quite understand but figured this was simply their way of doing things, so she agreed.
“All right, then just bring us there. We’ll handle the rest ourselves.”
The agent nodded. “No problem. But Miss Aurora, I should warn you–once inside, make sure not to upset
the old gentleman.
“He’s actually not a bad person, just a bit eccentric. I hope you can be patient with him.”
“Don’t worry, I understand completely,” Aurora reassured her.
She knew that choosing a challenging property meant facing more obstacles.
And anyone who owned a courtyard house in such a prime location clearly had a powerful background.
That was all the more reason to show respect.
Megan sighed with interest. “Aurora, I really didn’t expect the old gentleman to have such a strong personality. Now I’m even more curious to see what kind of man he is. I definitely want to meet him
properly later.”
