Megan stood to the side, watching Aurora and the old man talk endlessly, her curiosity nearly bursting. What on earth were they discussing?
Unable to hold back, she hurried over and plopped down beside Aurora with familiarity. “Aurora, did you settle the courtyard?”
“Mhm, everything’s fine.” Aurora turned to the old man. “Sir, when would you like to sign the contract?
I’m free anytime.”
“Any time works for me. Since I’ve decided on you, no matter who else comes afterward, I won’t change
my mind.”
The old man stroked his beard, looking every bit like a sage from another world.
Aurora understood perfectly.
“Good, then I’ll let the agent know and come back tomorrow,” she suggested.
The old man nodded without hesitation.
“Of course, I’ll go by your time. After all, you’re the tenant. Finding the right person hasn’t been easy.”
Aurora smiled. “Sir, you’re teasing me. You’re my fated one too. I didn’t even need to look at the layout—I already love this place. Especially the garden and trees you’ve tended so carefully. Anyone can see you’re
a man of fortune.”
The old man laughed heartily. “You really do have a way with words, girl. Renting this house to you is no mistake. Seems my courtyard has finally found the owner it deserves.”
Watching their easy exchange, Megan finally understood why the two of them had been chatting so happily just moments ago.
She hadn’t expected Aurora to share so much common ground with this old man.
She’d never noticed before how easily Aurora could connect with someone older.
Once they said their goodbyes and stepped out of the courtyard, Megan couldn’t hold back anymore.” Aurora, impressive. I never realized you were such a natural at conversation.”
“There’s a lot you haven’t noticed,” Aurora teased, tapping her nose.
Ian, meanwhile, felt a pang of something like wistfulness. But then he thought it through–so long as it was Aurora, there was never anything to worry about.
“Miss Aurora, I didn’t expect you to secure this place so quickly. I thought it would take much longer,” he
admitted.

Ian’s head was still spinning. Ever since meeting Aurora, so many things seemed to fall neatly into place.
Aurora smiled softly. “In the end, it was simply fate. From the layout to the care of the courtyard, I genuinely love everything about this place. It’s exactly what I imagined for the studio.
“And it just so happens the old man wanted someone who would cherish his trees and flowers. Since we
only plan to use it as a studio, it all fit together perfectly.”
Hearing this, Ian and Megan could hardly believe it.
It almost felt as though the courtyard had been designed with Aurora in mind.
Now the three of them could finally relax and celebrate.
Suddenly, Aurora turned to Ian. “By the way, you don’t need to kept acting like I’m your general manager
anymore.”
Her words startled him.
Did this mean she didn’t want to keep him on? Why would she suddenly say something like that?
“Miss Aurora, did I do something wrong? You can tell me directly,” Ian said nervously.
