When he moved closer, Aurora still hadn’t reacted, only kept retreating.
“You… I know you’re serious,” she said, her cheeks flushing. “But if we’re just talking, you don’t need to
stand so close.”
“What’s wrong, Rora?” Lucas called her by her nickname again. “We’re husband and wife. Why are you still so shy? Haven’t you gotten used to your role yet?”
“No, it’s not that.”
Aurora took a deep breath, then reached out to press against his chest. “Stop, stop, that’s enough. Don’t
come any closer.”
“And then what?” Lucas looked at her with a teasing smile.
Aurora lowered her head and muttered, “Alright, I promise. From now on, whatever it is, I’ll discuss it with you. No matter how big or small, I’ll tell you everything.”
“Good girl.” Lucas reached out and ruffled her soft hair, his eyes full of warmth.
With her promise, he finally felt at ease.
He no longer had to worry she might keep things from him again.
At least now he would be in the loop.
He wouldn’t have to hear about Aurora from Desmond anymore.
Lucas recalled what Desmond had said–that it was ridiculous for him to be the husband, yet still not know about his own wife’s affairs.
Even though they shared the same bed.
“You don’t know, Desmond even mocked me,” Lucas said, abandoning his usual coolness to complain directly to her.
“What do you mean?” Aurora didn’t understand.
Lucas looked at her seriously. “He told me that even though we’re husband and wife, I still have to investigate some things on my own. Aren’t we supposed to be the most intimate?
“So what am I supposed to do? Now he even suspects there are problems in our marriage.”
As he spoke, Lucas pulled her tightly into his arms, refusing to let go.
“But our relationship is clearly fine. They’re just slandering us, spreading nonsense. I have to prove them wrong.”

By the end, Aurora fully understood what he meant.
It was about her not telling him she was starting the studio.
So, this was his roundabout way of asking her to tell him everything in the future, so he wouldn’t have to hear it from anyone else.
Once Aurora understood Lucas’s intention, she didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
She hadn’t expected a man’s way of acting spoiled could be this disarming.
“Alright, alright, from now on I’ll never let you hear about me from someone else again.”
She reached up and pinched his cheek with a smile. “Don’t worry, whatever it is, I’ll tell you right away. I won’t leave you uneasy or insecure anymore.”
Lucas nodded earnestly, then quickly pressed a kiss to her cheek, his eyes glittering. “You said it yourself.”
“Yes, I did.” Aurora felt helpless, yet sweet at the same time.
After all, this was the man she had chosen.
So, no matter how spoiled Lucas acted, she couldn’t help but feel happy inside.
Everything he did only showed how much he cared about her.
After washing up, the two of them lay in bed.
Aurora nestled into his arms, finding a comfortable spot to rest against him.
