“Please, can you save that conversation for when Tiana comes this weekend,” he says, giving me a pained look.
“Sebastiana is coming again this weekend?” I ask, sliding up the wall.
“Yeah. We talked. I talked to Christian yesterday too. I had no idea I’d be getting a front row seat to seeing and hearing what we talked about, but…” he says shaking his head like he’s trying to erase the image from last night. “Anyway, she’s coming this weekend. Have your girl talk, or whatever. But please, just don’t subject me to anymore of this conversation. I truly might throw up.”
“Oh, stop being a baby. It’s not like I don’t know you’re having sex.”
He leans forward, getting in my face. “Knowing it and hearing it are two VERY different things, Enya.”
“I said I was sorry. I’ll use a pillow from now on.”
“Good, otherwise, when I’m as good as Christian, you’ll have to hear Tiana screaming like you did. Then, and only then, will you truly understand my pain.”
He turns and walks to his bedroom, closing the door.
I close my eyes and take a deep breath. Time for me to face the music. I can’t avoid Christian forever and since I can’t ask anyone else before I see him, I guess I’ll just have to see if he looks disgusted with me.
I head downstairs, watching everyone as they wave at me. Rather than giving me knowing, sly looks, everyone comes up and asks if I’m feeling well.
