Chapter 281
Francesca knew that Chris didn’t like doctors like Natalie, so she immediately refused.
She didn’t expect the Lawson family to invite Chris to dinner.
This was considered a business banquet, so Francesca couldn’t refuse.
“Currently, the head of the Lawson family is Felix, who should be Natalie’s uncle. But Felix isn’t very old, only
37 this year.”
Chris propped up his head.
Natalie’s personal resume was really terrible, the Summit Infirmary didn’t have any doctors with such poor
records.
Even Ben, who had been expelled, was much better than Natalie.
She had just scraped the pass line for her professional course assessments, and the practical training was even worse. It was said that she once accidentally cut the assistant’s hand with a scalpel.
How could such a person be allowed to operate in the operating room?
The Lawson family was wealthy and powerful, so how they arranged Natalie was not Chris’s concern, but such a
doctor could never set foot in the Summit Infirmary.
“Just say no,” said Chris.
Francesca understood Chris’s intention.
“I have already refused. Felix’s.secretary personally contacted me, saying they wanted to invite you to dinner.
It’s just a simple banquet. The Lawson family has a firm position in the medical system of Impelia. My
suggestion is not to offend them.”
Chris looked up at Francesca.
They were backed by the Wilder Group and certainly were not afraid to offend anyone.
But they could not afford to offend anyone easily.
They couldn’t just not bring revenue to the Wilder Group and cause trouble at the same time.

If it could be solved internally, Francesca absolutely would not let Jessica know.

“Not just Impelia, but the global medical community is one system. You see each other everywhere. If we offend the Lawson family now and embarrass them, there will inevitably be enmity later. But it’s just one meal. If you firmly refuse to accept Natalie, there’s nothing Felix can do about it.”
According to Francesca’s investigation, Felix had led the Lawson family to steady prosperity.
And everyone who had cooperated with Felix spoke highly of him. He was considered a gentleman.
Someone like that probably wouldn’t be aggressive at the dinner table.
“If that’s the case, when’s the banquet?”
Francesca said, “Thursday lunchtime, at the Global Cuisine. Mr. Lawson has a surgery in the afternoon, so
lunch will be kept under three hours.”
Felix feared that Chris wouldn’t come, so he specially mentioned the surgery in the afternoon to assure him it
wouldn’t take too long.
It was somewhat sincere.
Chris thought for a moment.
“I will attend on time, but I don’t want Natalie to appear during the meal.”
He hadn’t planned to bring her anyway, and he wasn’t the kind of person who would agree just because a
woman pouted.
It was better not to meet at all.
“Okay, I will coordinate this with Mr. Lawson’s secretary.”
That evening, when Chris told Jessica about it, she was unusually silent for a long time.
She didn’t think from the businessman’s perspective about the meeting between Felix and Chris, but rather
wondered why Natalie wanted to come to the Summit Infirmary.
Felix had arranged the Fourth Infirmary for her, so it was definitely the best place for her internship.
Money didn’t matter, the Lawson family was not short of money and certainly wouldn’t make things difficult for her. Everyone knew Natalie’s identity and wouldn’t trouble her.

But at the Summit Infirmary, everyone knew it was backed by the Wilder Group. It wouldn’t be easy for Natalie
if she went there.
Why would such a wealthy young lady go to the Summit Infirmary?
Jessica glanced at Chris, who was focused on reading new surgery materials, various physical data, and hadn’t
noticed her gaze.
The next day at the company, Jessica immediately asked Shannon to investigate Natalie.
“Natalie Lawson? The frivolous daughter of the Lawson family? Why?” asked Shannon, confused.
