Lucas was a light sleeper. Just a few minutes after Aurora left, he woke as well.

Seeing the empty space beside him, he felt a fleeting sense of emptiness, only for it to be quickly replaced by joy,
Today was the opening of Aurora’s studio.
Of course she would go early. It was only natural. He couldn’t selfishly keep her at home.
When Lucas went downstairs, he was surprised to find that Aurora had prepared breakfast for him.
A warmth spread through his chest.
It was the first time he had ever tasted breakfast made by her.
Pulling out his phone, Lucas called Desmond.
The line connected almost immediately. Basic efficiency was expected.
“Mr. Carter, what can I do for you?”
“Cancel all the noon meetings. Move everything to tomorrow. Any documents that can be signed online, send them over.”
“Understood.”
Though Desmond was surprised, he followed the order without question. After all, the president’s word was final.
Lucas didn’t say more. He ended the call, ate the simple breakfast, and worked through the documents Desmond sent over online.
When the time was right, he took his time heading toward Aurora’s studio.
When Aurora arrived, Ian and Megan were already there.
She looked at Megan in surprise. “You’re here this early?”
“Early?” Megan said with excitement. “I didn’t sleep a wink all night!”
Aurora and Ian were speechless.
The two exchanged a glance, neither expecting Megan to be this excited.
Megan was practically bouncing, waving her hands as she spun around Aurora.
“Oh my God, Aurora, I don’t even know how to describe what I’m feeling right now. I never thought I’d see the day I’d have a studio of my own!”
Aurora couldn’t help but laugh. “Alright, since we’ve opened this studio, there’ll be plenty of firsts waiting for

us in the future.”
Megan’s eyes shone with anticipation.
“You’re right. I need to calm down.”
She took several deep breaths before lifting her face into a bright smile again.
Even lan, behind his black–rimmed glasses, wore an expression filled with hope for what lay ahead.
Just as they were lost in thoughts of the future, a delivery man knocked at the door.
“Excuse me, is this Frost & Clear Studio?”
Aurora stepped forward. “Yes, that’s right.”
The delivery man let out a breath of relief.
“Someone ordered flower stands for you, to congratulate you on your opening.”
Megan craned her neck curiously. “Who is it? Who sent the flowers?”
Ian figured it would be just one or two arrangements.
After all, Aurora had posted about the opening on social media, and they’d all helped spread the word. It made sense that a few people would show up or send small gifts.
Aurora thought the same and answered casually, “Just leave them at the door.”
The delivery man looked a little troubled. “Leaving them at the door won’t work. You’ll probably need to line them from the entrance all the way into the courtyard.‘
The three of them stared at one another, puzzled.
How could a few flower stands not fit by the door?
Besides, they had already prepared some on their own for the opening.
Scratching his head, the delivery man explained, “These flowers… well, they could pretty much fill the entire street. The order was so big, it cleared out our shop’s entire stock of flower stands.”
