Chapter 1256
She brushed it off with a casual laugh.
“Oh, come on, that kind of thinking is perfectly normal. If my best friend had treated me like that, I’d still try to win her back. And she’s your mother–how could you not feel the same?
“Don’t overthink it. You’re still so young, but you worry yourself sick every day. It’s already showing on your face.”
Aurora smiled wryly. “So, are you saying I look old now?”
“Of course not!” Megan’s expression was one of pure shock.
Their playful banter drew a quiet smile from Lucas.
He had clearly seen how downcast Aurora had been earlier. But after Megan’s words, she was laughing again, her mood lifted. That was good–better she not dwell in sadness.
Lucas thought to himself that perhaps Megan did have her uses after all. Maybe he should even suggest her parents raise her allowance a little.
Aurora let go of her lingering sorrow. So, what if her mother didn’t come? She still had wonderful people around her. Why waste her heart on those who didn’t care?
People who stayed stuck in inner turmoil would never move forward.
With that realization, Aurora’s confidence returned.
Seeing the time was right, she had a banner strung across the entrance, the floral displays arranged neatly, and asked Ian to cue the confetti cannons.
They had even hired someone to set off a round of celebratory fireworks.
The reporters‘ equipment had long been ready.
When the moment came, Aurora and Lucas stood in the center, with Megan by Aurora’s side and Ian by Lucas’s.
The four of them cut the ribbon together under the gaze of everyone present.
Afterward, following the program, Aurora took the stage and spoke a few heartfelt words.
Her delicate features glowed brilliantly in the sunlight.
Watching her, Megan couldn’t help thinking–even as a woman herself–how captivating Aurora truly was.
Amid the thunder of firecrackers, the shower of fireworks, and the cheers of the crowd, the ceremony officially came to an end.
The reporters Aurora had hired asked her only some basic questions, nothing too sharp or noteworthy.
But Lucas had quietly arranged for several well–known industry journalists to attend as well.

When the smaller reporters saw these big names arrive, they were stunned. Clearly, this studio wasn’t as simple as it looked–how else could it draw such established media?
After all, these journalists usually only covered major corporations. For a small start–up studio like this, they wouldn’t normally spare a glance.
One female reporter, dressed casually in a T–shirt and jeans with a sunhat on, held a microphone toward Aurora.
“Hello, Miss Walton, I’m a reporter from Joy Entertainment Studio. I’d like to ask–what inspired you to open this studio?”
Aurora let out a quiet breath of relief.
When she first heard “Joy Entertainment Studio,” her mind had gone blank for a second.
She hadn’t invited anyone from that outlet and feared the questions might be difficult. But clearly, she’d worried too much.
Lucas stood beside her, his gaze carrying a faint, steady smile, his achievements kept quietly hidden.
Even so, the sharp–eyed reporters couldn’t help noticing–just by standing there, Lucas radiated a presence that set him apart from ordinary people.
