“I’m going to find Michael.” Jessica stood up to leave, but Chris stopped her at the door.

Jessica took a deep breath. “If she won’t see us, I’ll have someone bring her back by force. She’s my own sister, no one else gets to tell her what to do.”
“That’s illegal in Lonat, especially since Sophie is already a grownup and has the right to make her own decisions.” Chris wiped the water from his hands, sat down, and looked at the smile of the so–called Carol on the TV, feeling frustrated.
The last time he met Sophie, he pointed out that she actually liked Michael, which embarrassed her, and then Jessica sent her abroad.

Sophie was already upset.

Jessica raised her hand and patted her forehead. “It’s all my fault. I haven’t been able to contact Sophie for so long. I should have gone to see her.”
Chris took her hand, kissed it twice at the lips.
