Chris laughed helplessly. “Yeah, spoiled kids never realize how worried we are at home. So, we thought we’d take advantage of Natalie going to school and go abroad with her. That’s the only excuse that wouldn’t attract too much attention.”

Police protection wasn’t 24/7, and it couldn’t last indefinitely.
Any small gap could be exploited by Michael.
Those client records wouldn’t quickly convict Michael.
