I look at my brother. I’ve noticed the change in him over the past week. It’s probably been going
on longer than that, but it’s been much more apparent this past week.
“Shane, do you really want to have this conversation?” I ask him.
He may have changed, but so have I.
He blinks and looks at me. “Are you okay?” he asks, his tone calmer.
“Of course I am. Do you think that Christian would have left me any other way other than okay?” I
ask him.
He stares at me a moment longer. “He’s changing both of us, isn’t he?”
“For the better, I think. But don’t think you’re going to be able to go all cocky Alpha on me, little bro.”
“Love you too, Enya,” he grins. “Hey, listen, Tiana has offered to fill in for you while you’re at the Academy. What do you think of that?”
“Shouldn’t I be asking you that?” I ask.
“What I mean is, do you think she can handle it?”
“She’s a smart woman, Shane. She may not have any knowledge of what she’s doing, but she’s a quick learner and I’m guessing that if it helps you, it will be important to her. So, if you’re asking if I think she can handle it, the answer is yes. If you’re asking if I think she’s using this to get back into your good graces, also yes. Will it give the two of you more time together so you can possibly reconnect in a way that I didn’t smell on either of you this morning? Again, yes. So, I think the question is more about what you want. She can do it, but do you want her to?”
“Do you mind training her for me? If you have concerns, let me know, otherwise, I think I’ll take her up on her suggestion. I need the help and you do so much around here. I’m already dreading you leaving.”
“Love you too, Shane,” I say, smirking at him. “And yes, I can train her on how to manage the pack.”

# 788 Wonkhors We go our separate ways, having breakfast with our pack members. I love how much better the pack feels now. Not only are we more cohesive as a pack, the pack seems to get along better without anyone undermining Shane and I at every turn. Even Violet seems to have settled down. which I never would have expected.
Over the next couple of weeks, things continue to improve. Sleeping in Christian’s bedroom becomes standard. Each night, my favorite time of day, we explore cach other’s bodies and then he makes me come multiple times before we finally fall asleep.
That first morning when I went to get the day after pill, I talked to the doctor and got on birth control. Since I’m signed up for the sex class at the Academy, I needed to do it anyway.
But as my time gets closer, as I spend more time with Christian, I’m not sure I want to take the sex class anymore. I love being with Christian. I love the way he makes me feel. I love the way it feels sleeping in his arms at night.
