Chapter 21 Nova and Corin Exposed–Kael Panicked!
After ending the call. Kael’s mood stayed unsteady. Veins bulged in his hand as he gripped his phone.
He looked up at the bedroom, gaze a mix of sorrow and fury… A dark thought took root.[]
He pulled out his phone and called Sam.[]
The next morning, when Nova woke up, a bouquet of vibrant pink roses sat on her nightstand.[]
Her heart skipped a beat, fingers tightening around the bedsheets. Since marrying Kael, he’d bring her roses every time he returned from his morning run. The flower shop was far, but he’d never complained.[]
Neighbors envied her for having such a good husband–still romantic after marriage. They could’ve had such a happy life…]
Nova stared at the roses, eyes stinging. After a long moment, she forced herself to look away, pushing down the dull ache in her chest. She got up to wash up and dress. She had to meet Corin later.[]
When she went downstairs, Kael was busy in the kitchen. His tall, broad back exuded homely warmth, and breakfast was laid out on the table…]
For a moment, Nova’s mind wandered. When was the last time they’d shared such peace?[]
“Up already? I hoped you’d sleep longer.” Kael noticed her, tone brimming with affection.[]
He walked over, arm around her shoulders to guide her to a chair. “Chicken noodle soup is still on the stove–I’ll get it.“[]
Nova snapped back to reality. She gently held his arm, tone cold and distant. “No, thanks. I have urgent work–I’ll eat at the office.“]
Kael froze. A sharp sense of loss washed over him, uncomfortable and bitter.[]
Nova had never rejected him so coldly. He’d spent all morning on this breakfast, and she’d always responded warmly.[]
But now? She was indifferent, with no kind words at all.]
His gaze darkened. “Nova…”
Nova just checked her watch, patting his arm in a perfunctory, reassuring gesture. “It’s late. I have to go.“[]
Kael watched her back, eyes deep and unreadable.[]
He grabbed a sandwich from the table, chased after her, and shoved it into her bag without waiting for refusal. “Your stomach’s bad–don’t eat random things.“]
Nova was in a hurry, so she didn’t refuse. She gave him a quick smile and left–unaware that Kael’s smile faded behind her, his face turning cold and menacing.
He pulled out his phone, made a call, eyes fixed on her departing figure, voice cold and sharp. “Follow her.“]
The advertising partner they’d been trying to meet had finally freed up time. They agreed to meet at Jasmine Manor.[]
Nova had been busy with the new product launch–this opportunity was hard–won.[]
“What’s Shane’s problem? How can she be late to something this important? No sense of time!” Lila fumed, handing Nova a water bottle.[]
“Ms. Hale, I’m not complaining, but Mr. Voss has terrible taste. How did Sloane even get selected?]]
“Does she have a big shot backing her
“She’s letting attention go to her head–doesn’t respect you as her manager! Who does she think she is?“]
A pained look flashed across Nova’s face []
Karl doted on Sloane so much of course shed get arrogant []
She swallowed the bate, lump in her throat, lowering her eyes to check her watch, as if hiding her emotions.[]
Just then, a car pulled up. The window rolled down, revealing Stone’s perfecily made up face.[]
“Sorry, Ms Hale. My appetite s been off–cant keep food down, threw up yesterday. My man felt bad and brought me breakfast this morning. Got held up.“]

Chapter 21 Nova and Corin Exposed–Kael Panicked!
She smiled brightly, sitting in the car and looking down at Nova, deliberately twisting the knife. “A generous boss like you wouldn’t mind, right?”
Nova froze. She thought of that morning’s breakfast. So Karl had made breakfast for Sloane too? He could cook for other women?]
She dug her nails into her fingertips, gaze unfocused and dazed.[]
Memories of Kael’s romantic gestures flashed–roses by the bed, breakfast on the table… Now they felt utterly disgusting.]
Nova suddenly felt her stomach churn. She frowned, face turning pale.[]
Sloane’s lips curved into a smile. She propped her chin on the car window, taunting, “He made a lot. You haven’t had breakfast–want to try some?”]]
Nova’s face paled further. She forced a mocking smile. “No, thanks. Trash belongs in the trash can. You can enjoy it all, Ms. Reed.“]
She didn’t look at Sloane’s livid face, grabbing Lila’s hand and walking away.[]
“Rude!” Lila spat over her shoulder before they left.[]
Sloane stared at their backs, biting her inner lip until it hurt.]
“Sloane, calm down. Stay steady,” her manager urged. “We have leverage on Nova–revenge can wait. No rush.“[]
Sloane relaxed a little. She narrowed her eyes, glaring flercely at Nova’s back. She’d take Nova down for good this time.[]
Back in the car, Nova’s first move was to throw Kael’s sandwich into a roadside trash can.]]
Lila stared, stunned–she’d never seen Nova do that. That sandwich was clearly Kael’s, and Nova had always eaten his cooking happily, face glowing. Why throw it now?]
But Nova just stared out the window, expression empty.[]

Jasmine Manor sat on a hill, surrounded by pure white jasmine, filling the air with sweetness.
The housekeeper led Nova and her team inside. The first floor was spacious and bright. As soon as Nova entered, her eyes fell on a man and a woman by the floor–to–ceiling windows.[]
The man was tall and broad–shouldered, suit pants clinging to his toned legs. Every move exuded restraint and elegance.
Nova paused, a vague sense of familiarity washing over her.[]
The housekeeper approached the woman. “Ms. Quinn, Ms. Hale from Voss Group’s Marketing Department is here“]
!
Grace Quinn nodded gracefully. “Thank you. You may leave.“]
As she spoke, the man turned his head, glancing over casually, one eyebrow lifting slightly.[]
The moment their eyes met, Nova’s breath seemed to stop… It was Corin.]
She’d never expected to run into him here–she’d planned to find him after the meeting.
And now he was with Grace, in this private villa…[]
She’d heard rumors that Grace had a boyfriend. So it was Corin…[]
Skane, nearby, dearly realized this too
A look of shock flashed in her eyes, then a devious plan took shape.[]
