Just ask whatever you wanna ask already. You’re staring at me so much it’s making me nervous.”
Emily hopped into Sophia’s car, and they took off.
During the ride, Sophia kept glancing at Emily, like she had something to say but couldn’t bring herself to do it.
Emily finally had enough and broke the silence.
Sophia had a million questions swirling in her head.

“What kind of medicine? It’s not that miracle stuff my grandpa and everyone else are raving about, the one that’s supposed to make you young again, is it? Do you really have it? So, the rumor was that Mr. Williams was saved by some genius doctor, was that you?”
Everyone knew John had a close call and was saved by a top–notch doctor.
Sophia couldn’t picture Emily as that genius doctor.
In her mind, a brilliant doctor wore a white coat and looked super professional.
Emily smirked, her confidence shining through, “Why do you think you got to be John’s student?”
Sophia’s view of Emily shifted in that moment.
There was admiration, gratitude, and a mix of emotions she couldn’t quite pin down.
“How can you be so nice? I even thought about using you to deal with Bianca back then.” She felt a bit guilty.
Emily appreciated Sophia’s honesty, and her smile grew, “I know.”
Sophia felt a wave of relief. Since Emily knew and still chose to help her, it must be true friendship.
It seemed Emily genuinely liked her.
Sophia was good at moving on and not dwelling on internal conflicts,
She switched topics, “How did you come up with using a silver needle to scare Bianca? I swear, I saw her finger twitch. If you had really gone through with it, she might not have been able to keep up the act.”
Sophia felt a bit regretful.
Emily sneered, “Keep going? She wishes! After all, I can actually treat her!”
Sophia was stunned. She knew Emily was skilled, but Bianca’s illness had been around for twenty years, and many famous doctors had tried to help.
Doctors can’t treat themselves, and in her past life, Emily had poured all her energy into helping the Johnson Group, researching new medicines, and treating the Johnson family, neglecting her own health.

Chapter 12
As for Bianca, before her illness truly relapsed, she had been faking it, always keeping Emily at a distance, so Emily couldn’t help her
condition in advance.

Maybe it was Bianca’s own doing.
People should avoid bad omens, but she loved to pretend to be sick, always talking about her poor health. How could she possibly be well?
“Then, how did you know she would faint and have a silver needle ready?” Sophia continued to ask.
Emily frowned.
So many questions.‘
Although she had helped Sophia, their relationship wasn’t close enough for her to answer so many questions.
Sophia, however, filled in the blanks herself and suddenly remembered the painting, “That painting wasn’t really done by Bianca, was it? Who’s the real artist?”
Emily was speechless.
She remained silent, not responding.
Sophia assumed the artist didn’t want to be known. Although she felt a bit disappointed that she couldn’t meet the artist, as the painting was truly impressive and she wanted to admire it, she respected the artist’s choice.
She felt that she and Emily were friends now, close friends.
She couldn’t help but worry for Emily, “The Johnson family is blind. You shouldn’t go back. After what happened today, you’ll probably be bullied if you do. I have an empty villa; why don’t you stay there for now?”
She even thought that with Bianca’s personality, having suffered such a big loss, she definitely wouldn’t let Emily off the hook.
Otherwise, how could the rumors about Emily bullying Bianca have spread?
It was clearly Bianca using the Johnson family to bully Emily.
She voiced her thoughts.
Emily knew Bianca wouldn’t let it go.
But now, she wasn’t the same insecure person who only knew how to please and never fought back.
Sophia’s words reminded her that she needed a more private and spacious environment to research new medicines.
