What kind of father, when his daughter is feeling sick and throwing up, would first accuse her of being pregnant with another man’s child instead of showing concern for her health? 

“What are you talking about? I’m your father, and I’m just worried about you!” 

Emily sneered, “With your kind of concern, I can hardly bear it. A real father wouldn’t suspect his daughter of being promiscuous when she’s feeling unwell!” 

“It’s because you’ve been staying out all night and hanging out with shady people!” Eli retorted, though he was momentarily taken aback. 

Emily couldn’t be bothered to respond. 

She didn’t even want to share a car with him and was about to call for a ride. 

Just then, a tall figure walked straight towards her. 

Emily looked over and saw a Maybach not far behind him, her eyes widening in surprise. 

She thought Daniel would have left by now, but his car was still there. 

This meant he was still in the car. 

“Ms. Johnson, are you in trouble? Mr. Smith hasn’t left yet and asked me to invite you to join him in the car for a ride,” York said respectfully. 

Emily didn’t fully believe York’s words. 

It wasn’t that Daniel just happened to be there; he probably stayed to make sure she was okay. 

Whether it was because she had helped him at the hospital or because he needed her to monitor his daily meals, the fact that he was willing to wait for her made Emily grateful. 

Maybe Daniel was a soft–hearted person beneath his cold exterior. 

“Alright.” 

Emily nodded and was about to follow York to the car. 

Eli’s face darkened, ‘What are you doing? Hanging out with more shady people…” 

‘Mr. Johnson, watch your words!” 

Before Eli could finish, York, who had already walked away, suddenly stopped and turned back with a menacing glare. 

He was someone who had seen real bloodshed, and his presence exuded a chilling aura.

Eli was so frightened that he shut his mouth. 

After regaining his composure, he felt a bit embarrassed and more curious about who could have such a formidable subordinate. 

Thinking of this, Eli couldn’t help but follow, wanting to see who was in the car. 

He initially thought it was someone Aaron had taught, but now it seemed more likely to be someone else. 

Of course, Emily, as a member of the Johnson family, was shamelessly flirting with one man after another outside. 

The car door opened. 

Emily saw the person inside, his entire body hidden in the shadows. 

As the door opened, light spilled in, highlighting his sharp features, making it hard to look away. 

Even though she had seen him many times, Emily’s heart still raced. 

She steadied her heartbeat and got into the car. 

Eli had caught up and craned his neck to look inside. 

Emily sensed his gaze and instinctively used her body to block Eli’s view. 

“Move aside, I want to see who you’re hiding…” 

Before Eli could finish, someone grabbed him by the collar and tossed him aside.

Fortunately, the bodyguard who had followed caught him in time, preventing him from hitting the ground. 

“Three strikes and you’re out. Keep talking, and you won’t need to talk anymore,” York said coldly, his voice dripping with menace. 

“Do you know who I am? How dare you treat me like this! Emily, get out of the car, or do you not care about Liam anymore?” 

Eli stood up, furious, trying to use his status to intimidate York. 

York sneered, ‘I don’t care who you are. There won’t be a next time.” 

York remained unfazed, giving Eli a cold glance before getting into the car and starting the engine. 

Emily slightly opened the car window and said indifferently, “With Liam in your hands, are you still worried I might run away? I’ll follow.” 

Eli’s face darkened, but he didn’t continue to argue with Emily. 

He returned to his car and instructed the driver to head to the Reyes Villa.
