“Mr. Johnson is so generous, why not leave Bianca here?” 

Byron wasn’t dumb. He caught on to Eli’s intentions right away.

Eli’s face darkened instantly. “Byron, you really know how to joke.”

Eli frowned. 

He suspected it was Emily’s idea.

He had originally adopted Liam because of Emily. Now that she had apologized, he didn’t have the energy to really adopt him. 

Byron seemed to understand his thoughts. “How about this? Give me the kid, and I’ll give you a one percent share of the project. What do you think, Mr. Johnson?” 

He specifically asked Isaac, who had called back, “Dad, you don’t mind, right?”
