Chapter 1Â
All because my five-year-old twin daughters had upset my Alpha mate’s first love, he sent the girls to The Obedience Den-the most brutal correctional camp in the entire pack.Â
The instructors from The Obedience Den followed my Alpha’s command and stormed into the packhouse, dragging my girls away by force. My daughters clung to the door, sobbing and screaming for their father.Â
I fell to my knees, begging.Â
“They’re only five years old-they’re just pups! Sending them there will kill them! I’m their mother-if anyone should be punished, it’s me! I’m the one who failed to teach them properly!”Â
But Blake only stood there, his arm wrapped around his first love, Hannah, watching us with coldÂ
indifference.Â
“If you hadn’t spoiled them rotten, they wouldn’t have grown up so insolent! I’m their father-if you can’t discipline them, then I will! Do you really think I’d harm my own blood?”Â
The next day, when Sierra and I arrived at The Obedience Den, we were met with the sight of my daughters- their small bodies covered in bruises, their tiny chests still.Â
Gone.Â
And my mate? He was celebrating with the pack, rejoicing that his sweet Hannah was now pregnant with hisÂ
child.Â
My vision blurred as I turned to Sierra, my voice hollow.Â
“They’re dead. I have nothing left. Please… just let me go. I don’t want anything to do with your brotherÂ
anymore.”Â
By the time they were brought to the werewolf hospital, it was already too late. They didn’t even make it to the emergency room-just straight to the morgue.Â
Sierra, my mate’s sister’s eyes filled with pity, but she still tried to comfort me, her voice soft.Â
“It’s going to be okay. You have me and Grandpa on your side. This time, my brother went too far-I’ll make sure he apologizes. You two can still-”Â
Before she could finish, I shoved my phone into her hands. On the screen was a post Blake had made just twoÂ
hours ago.Â
“Before you even came to this world, your mother and I were already loving you.’Â
Beneath it was an ultrasound scan-clear as day.Â
Hannah Marsh. Six weeks pregnant..Â

Hannah Marsh-Blake’s first love.Â
Sierra’s voice died in her throat. After a long pause, anger twisted her features.Â
“I’m calling my brother right now. I swear, we will make this right-Â

I let out a bitter laugh and dialed Blake’s number myself. The moment the call connected, his irritated voiceÂ
crackled through.Â
“What now? Are you going to cry about the girls being ‘mistreated’ at The Obedience Den again? My daughters-the Alpha heirs of the White Moon Pack-who would dare lay a finger on them? Stop playing the victim. I sent them there to learn discipline, to prepare them for leading the pack one day. Must youÂ
harass me with these endless calls?”Â
A pause. Then, with venom-Â
“Lena, you disgust me.”Â
He hung up before I could utter a word.Â
The phone had been on speaker. Every syllable, every cruel inflection, had reached Sierra’s ears.Â
Her face paled. Her lips trembled, but no words came out-as if she no longer knew how to console me.Â
I forced a smile, but tears streamed down my face like falling stars.Â
“Please. I have nothing left. Just… let me go. I can’t take thisÂ

anymore.Â
Before Sierra could respond, two werewolf detectives approached us.Â
“Are you the family of the deceased? The staff at The Obedience Den have been detained. We’ll need yourÂ
cooperation in the investigation.”Â
In the imprisonment area I saw them-the so-called instructors who had torn my daughters from ourÂ
home.Â
Something inside me shattered.Â
A scream tore from my throat as I lunged at them, claws unsheathed, my grief a wildfire.Â
“You monsters! You heartless beasts! They were five years old! How could you?! HOW DARE YOU?!”Â
The detectives immediately restrained me, and Sierra wrapped her arms around my shaking body.Â
“Lena, please—you have to stay strong. You’ll get justice for what you’ve been through. I swear, they will pay for what they’ve done!”Â
The instructors, cowering in the corner, had the nerve to sneer.Â

“Maybe if you’d raised them better, this wouldn’t have happened.”Â
“That’s just how The Obedience Den works. You have to break them to mold them. Who knew your pups were so weak? Pathetic.”Â
My hands trembled with rage. I wanted to rip them apart-to make them suffer the way my daughters had.Â
Then, a metallic tang flooded my mouth.Â
I coughed violently-blood splattering onto the floor-before darkness swallowed me whole.Â
When I woke, I was back in the packhouse. Sierra sat at my bedside, her eyes red-rimmed.Â
“Lena… you’re awake. Don’t worry-we’ve taken care of everything with the detectives. Those bastardsÂ
won’t escape justice.”Â
I stared blankly at the ceiling, my soul hollowed out.Â
“Please… just let me go. There’s nothing left for me here.”Â
