I smirked at him as he looked from me to Mora. She looked like she wanted to kill me, and I would be dead if looks could kill. 

“Well, she is not your fated mate, is she? So obviously she has a mate. Do you think that she doesn’t already know who that is?” 

There were gasps and silence around us as I could see everyone was shocked that old Isla could stick up for herself against the mighty alpha. He was a fool to think that I would sit and take any shit. 

Being at Eclipse had made me stronger, the training I had every day. My uncle Ed took no laziness, there was no room for slacking. We all did our bit and worked our arsed off. 

Alpha Miller was nothing compared to the Eclipse. 

“Well, are you going to let her speak to me and you like that. In front of the pack?” Mora practically shouted causing Alpha Miller to growl. “And why is Amanda out of bed? Should you not be resting since your mate ordered the alpha to make sure that you did not cause any more drama to yourself of the pack.” Mora complained like a spoilt brat. 

How dare she speak about my mother that way. 

Disrespectful. 

She was lucky that she was pregnant since I would surely have kicked her to the floor by now. 

I did not like the way she thought she was the queen and could look down on everyone else like they were beneath her. 

Mora honestly believed that she was better than anyone m, the better choice. 

“What are you talking about? My mother is free to do as she pleases.” I growled. 

It was laughable, they were both useless and clearly had no idea how to run a pack. 

I was glad that he had rejected me because this pack would be in tatters eventually. 

“Luna Mora, please forgive my daughter. We are just merely concerned for my son. We were on our way to the pack hospital to check on him.” My mother bowed apologetically to them both and I scoffed as I shook my head. 

Why would my mother apologise to her when she was the one in the wrong, it was her who had caused this problem in the first place. 

“Alpha Miller, it was clear to me that my mother is unhappy here without my father. So, I propose to you that my mother and my sister as well as my brother are granted the chance to leave this pack. Eclipse pack is far more suited to my family.” I said looking straight at him and ignoring the horrified expressions on my mother and sisters faces. 

Mora laughed at my statement and shook her head in disbelief. 

“Is that a problem for you. Luna?” I said the last part with such sarcasm that she glared at me. 

Alpha Miller remained silent and then sighed, placing his hands into the pockets of his trousers. 

“I do not think that it is in the best interests of your mother to leave here right now. I can sense that they are not too keen on the idea.” He replied looking at my family as he spoke. 

What rubbish. 

“Mother, Cora? Tell him. You are better off leaving this hell hole. There really is nothing more for you here.” I tried to reason with them, but my sister avoided my gaze and just walked off towards where Daniel was recovering.

My mother rubbed her forehead and kept her eyes fixated on the ground. 

“Isla, as much as I love you and am happy you have my best interests at heart. I cannot leave this place. Your father might see sense and come back.” 

Wow. 

Was she for real. 

I wanted to scream, shout at her, shake her shoulders. Anything to make her see sense. 

Thai place was the pits. 

My father was not going to come back. 

We all knew that. 

But he was her mate, she loved him and felt everything that he did. 

I hated him and wanted him to suffer how he was making my mother suffer. Being away from here would make her realise that she doesn’t need him 

and is much better off without him. 

If uncle Ed knew how sad things were then he would come here himself and forcefully remove her from this pack. 

Pembroke never used to be this awful. 

I wished that I had never left Eclipse. 

“Isla, we need to go find Daniel. He isn’t in the pack hospital.” Cora exclaimed rushing through the door and pulling me away from Alpha Miller. 

“What do you mean he’s gone?” Mora shrilled shoving her way towards Cora 

“He was taken away in the car with two men. One of the omegas told me and the doctor confirmed it.” 

“He won’t be coming back anytime soon word her.” Alpha Miller announced, causing all eyes to fall on him. 

Why would he want to make sure Daniel never returned to Pembroke? 

Unless? 

“Did you know?” I suddenly gasped. 

Alpha Miller crossed his arms over his chest and grinned triumphantly. 

My heart sunk as I realised what this complete arse had done. 

“You absolute creep. I will never forgive you if anything has happened to my brother.” I pointed my finger furiously as him as my mother looked on, 

confused. 

“Please tell me you’re joking! What have you done?” Mora covered her mouth with a hand as she stepped to Alpha Miller. He gazed at her and shrugged his shoulders. 

“Does it matter?” He was a heartless piece of shit. 

He was a joke. 

“My brother better not be dead or harmed. If he is then trust me, Miller. I will be coming for you.” I warned him and then he laughed in my face. 

Normally threatening the alpha would be seen as a crime but he was just an idiot. He did not take me seriously.

I could see that he thought that I was still the weak little muppet I had been five years ago. 

How wrong he was. 

“Isla, you will never win against me. Weather you deny it or not. We were fated mates for a reason.” He said and I felt sick at the sheer reminder of being mated to a total scumbag. 

He got a kick out of seeing me revolted by him Which made me wonder if he was more messed up in the head, than I could ever imagine. 

“Alpha, please tell us where my son is?” My mother started to hyperventilate. I saw her eyes flash and knew she were about to shift. 

Alpha sensed it too since he went to grab hold of her, but she growled and stepped back, rushing out the door and into the woods. She was in her wolf form quicker than any of us could jump after her. 

This was not good. 

My mother lost her shit at the thought of her own pup being harmed. 

I turned to Mora and Alpha Miller and threw my fist into the wall, leaving a huge dent and causing Mora to shriek dramatically. Alpha Miller’s mouth fell open at the sight of what I had just done. 

“How are you able to do that. You were always just a weak wolf.” Mora muttered fear flashed across her face and I felt Cleo forcing herself forward. I needed to get away from Mora before Cleo ripped her to pieces. The pup in her belly did not deserve to pay for its mothers disgusting attitude. 

“Get her away from me. Now.” I instructed my sister and Alpha Miller gestured for his beta to come and take Mora upstairs. 

“Cora, wait here in case mother or Daniel comes back.” She nodded. 

She was crying like a baby and begging for Miller to go with her, but he ignored her. 

“I need to go to my mother.” I turned on my heel and ran out of the pack-house. 

Alpha Miller rushed out after me, shouting for me to slow down. 

He wanted to help. 

I did not want to be around him. 

“Leave me alone, this is all your fault.” I threw at him as I ran behind the tree to allow Cleo to take over. She was going crazy.
