Once Kayla and Payton lost, Maria was going to film them publicly admitting in front of the whole school that they were nothing but losers. She’d make sure everyone never forgot their humiliation. She was going to make sure Kayla never recovered from this. 

The Class A students behind her all chimed in. 

“Come on, Davon, I know you and Kayla are friends, but this is Class A versus Class G. You can’t go easy on her just because you two are tight,” someone called out. 

“Yeah, we gotta show them who’s boss, or they’ll start thinking they’re hot stuff,” another student added. 

“That’s right! Let’s take them on. Time to show Class G what we’re made of. Let’s put them in their place,” someone else shouted. 

With Marianna laying it on thick and the whole class hyping him up, Davon finally gave in. He’d been fed up with Kayla’s attitude for a while now. She’d been acting out way too long, being completely immature. 

Time to teach her a lesson. She needs to learn what happens when she doesn’t listen to me,‘ Davon thought. 

*Fine. Since you’re so cocky, I’ll play along. But don’t come crying when you lose,” Davon said coldly. 

Kayla’s way too proud. Nothing cute about her anymore,‘ Davon thought. ‘Marianna’s so much better, sweet, thoughtful, and she actually gets me.’ 

To Kayla’s surprise, news of the bet between Class G and Class A spread across the entire school in less than an hour. Someone had even posted about it on the school forum, and now everyone was talking about it. 

Tania scrolled through the comments on her phone, her expression getting darker with each reply she read. Suddenly, she slammed her hand down on the desk. 

“Damn, who’s saying that? ‘Way out of their league?‘ Seriously, do they really think Class G is that pathetic?” Tania fumed. 

Kayla smirked and raised her eyebrow. “Well, what do you think?” 

Tania puffed up her cheeks, clearly not backing down. “Okay, but we haven’t even done anything yet! Can’t they save the trash talk? Why do people always have to run their mouths?” 

Kayla fell silent for a moment, her brows knitted. “The bet between Class A and Class G literally just happened. No way it should’ve spread across campus this fast,‘ she thought. ‘Something’s off here.’ 

Kayla reached out to Tania. “Come on, hand it over. Let me see.” 

Tania hid her phone behind her back, flashing an awkward smile. “Trust me, you don’t want to. It’ll just piss 

you off.”

Kayla arched a brow. Judging by Tania’s reaction, the online comments had to be way worse than she’d let on. “It’s fine. If I’m willing to go up against them, I’m ready for whatever they throw at me.” 

Kayla had heard way worse in her previous life. Nothing could faze her now. 

Tania hesitated, then finally handed over her phone. “Promise me you won’t get mad. Just pretend they’re nothing but hot air, okay?” 

Kayla burst out laughing at Tania’s worried expression, warmth spreading through her chest. “Alright, I promise.” 

Kayla took the phone and scrolled through the posts. To her surprise, someone had actually dug up years of grade comparisons between Class G and Class A–complete with charts and analysis. 

Every single line was basically screaming about how Class G had zero chance and was completely delusional. 

The forum comments were brutal, just like Tania said. Nothing but harsh burns. Honestly, it was way nastier than she’d admitted. 

[Have the people in Class G lost their damn minds? Do they not know what league they’re in? This isn’t just overconfident. They’re completely delusional if they think they have a shot.]
