Louis‘ eye twitched before he finally recognized Killian from Class G. He used to be frustrated with Class G for not caring about their studies. But now, seeing them so eager to learn, he honestly didn’t know what to do with himself.
“Could you maybe wait until I’m done in here?” Louis asked, hoping for just a minute of privacy. ‘Having to explain physics problems in a bathroom is awkward, he thought.
Killian just smiled and shook his head. “It’s totally fine, Mr. Connor. I really don’t mind.”
Louis stood there speechless. You might not mind, but I sure as hell do!‘ he thought. ‘You almost gave me a heart attack. ‘If something goes wrong down there, how am I supposed to face my wife?’
But when Louis looked into Leo’s eager, knowledge–hungry eyes, he just couldn’t bring himself to say no. He subtly wiped his hands on his pants, cleared his throat awkwardly, then put on his serious teacher face and started explaining.
During the break, the teachers‘ office was packed tighter than ever.
The Class G students swarmed around the teachers like bees, firing off question after question. Their questions came so fast and from every direction that the teachers had to think even quicker than they did in class just to keep up with all those eager, expectant eyes.
The teachers patiently answered everyone’s questions–everyone except Ravenna.
When a Class G student finally worked up the courage to ask Ravenna about a math problem, her response killed the warm atmosphere instantly.
“You seriously have the nerve to ask something this basic?” Ravenna’s voice dripped with irritation. “What were you doing when I was teaching. Forgot to bring your brain to school?”
Her sharp words left everyone frozen. The student who’d asked went pale and stared at his shoes.
“I can’t believe you’d even ask. Honestly, answering this would be a waste of my time,” Ravenna snapped. The entire office went dead silent.
The Class G students exchanged glances, their faces showing a mix of emotions–frustration, confusion, embarrassment, disappointment, and anger.
Just then, the bell rang, giving them an escape.
The Class G students quickly gathered their books and notes, then filed out with their heads down, leaving behind an uncomfortable silence and a room full of teachers exchanging awkward looks.
Once the students left, the literature teacher tried to lighten the mood. “Ravenna, don’t be upset. Your Class G students are really trying hard now. You should be happy about that. Kids don’t always get things right away. That’s why we’re here, right? To guide them patiently.”

The physics teacher jumped in. “Yeah, Ravenna. Your Class G students have been working so hard lately. They’re almost catching up to Class A.
But Ravenna just snorted, her voice thick with scorn. “Catch up to Class A? Don’t make me laugh. They’re just trash putting on a show. Did you hear those stupid questions they asked? Even middle schoolers could do better. And they think they can compete with Class AP”
Her words reminded everyone of the bet between Ravenna and the Class G students, making the teachers expressions grow more complicated.
The Language Arts teacher hesitated, then finally spoke up. “Their foundation might be weak, but that’s only because they weren’t focused before. Now that they actually want to learn, shouldn’t we encourage them?”
The other teachers nodded in agreement. “Exactly. They’re only juniors. If they keep working hard, getting into college is totally possible. We need to believe in them more.”
But Ravenna didn’t look moved at all. She shot everyone a cold glare, her voice dripping with contempt. “If you want to play saint, that’s your business. Don’t drag me into it. I’m not wasting my time on hopeless cases.”
Her words left the teachers speechless, but no one argued back.
In math class, the atmosphere felt suffocating. Ravenna’s impatience was obvious, and she barely put any effort into teaching anymore. She just went through the motions, completely checked out, not even noticing when students looked confused or lost.
“Alright, let’s move on to this example problem,” Ravenna said flatly. She scribbled the problem on the board and immediately launched into her explanation without giving anyone time to process.
Now, Ravenna just breezed right past all those tricky concepts she used to break down carefully like they were nothing.
“Ms. Nielsen, how’d you get that step?” Tania finally raised her hand, unable to hold back.
Ravenna barely glanced at her, irritation clear in her voice. “It’s simple. Think about it and you’ll figure it out.”
As the lesson went on, Ravenna only got faster. Complex formulas and theorems turned into meaningless strings of symbols, rattled off mechanically like she was reading a grocery list.
The students tried desperately to keep up, but most of them were completely lost.
Kayla’s frown deepened with every passing minute. Finally, she couldn’t take it anymore and interrupted. “Ms. Nielsen, nobody can follow this. How are we supposed to learn anything?” Her voice was thick with frustration
and exhaustion.
Ravenna let out a cold laugh, her eyes glinting with contempt. “Yeah, I’m doing it on purpose. So what? You’re the one who thinks she’s so great, making bets with Class A. If you’re really that good, teach yourself. Why do you even need me?”
Ravenna’s tone was ice–cold and cutting, like a knife straight to Kayla’s chest.
And with that, Ravenna completely ignored everyone’s anger and just plowed ahead, racing through the

The students looked at each other, completely lost and confused.
Kayla’s eyes went wide with shock. She couldn’t believe Ravenna would stoop this low, deliberately half–assing her job right in front of everyone.
Kayla had always known Ravenna played favorites with the top students, but this proved she had no business being a teacher at all.
Sure, there was a bet going on, but Ravenna was completely abandoning her responsibilities. ‘Does she even deserve to be called a teacher?‘ Kayla thought angrily.
“You really think you can just blow off your job and nobody’s gonna say anything? What if we tell our parents and they come to the school?” Kayla shot back, trying to put some pressure on her.
But Ravenna didn’t even flinch. She gave Kayla a smug, mocking smile. “Oh, you wanna run to Mommy and Daddy? I’m so scared.” Her voice dripped with sarcasm. “Go ahead. Let’s see if they actually bother showing up for you.”
