When Grace heard the two message notifications, she knew it must be Aurora’s reply. 

But she didn’t know exactly what it said. 

After hesitating for a moment, Grace finally opened the chat. 

When she saw Aurora’s message, she quietly sighed in relief. As long as Aurora was willing to meet, it meant there was still room for conversation between them. 

At least things hadn’t become too awkward. 

After all, Aurora was her own daughter.

“I can handle it myself. We both have our own work, and you shouldn’t make me the center of everything. That would make me look like a helpless child.” 

Aurora disliked relying on others for everything. She preferred to stand on her own. 

She didn’t want to be someone who depended on others; she wanted to be the master of her own life. 

Lucas understood exactly what Aurora was thinking, so he chose to respect and support her instead of keeping her tied to his side. 

The most important thing between two people was understanding. Without communication, their relationship would never last long.

But looking closer, she noticed traces of time etched across her face, and her hair seemed to have more strands of white than before. 

Seeing her like this made Aurora’s heart ache a little.
