Not long after Emily broke off her engagement, news spread that Bianca was pregnant and about to get engaged to James.

It was Willow who reminded her to submit her design draft, and during this “coincidental” encounter, Bianca shared the “good news” with 

Emily. 

Bianca gently stroked her still–flat stomach, unable to hide her smugness. “Emily, I have to thank you for this. If it weren’t for your reminder, I might not have noticed I was pregnant. When the baby is born, I’ll tell them all about you.” 

Emily looked at Bianca expressionlessly. “Really? Congratulations.” 

She was genuinely congratulating her, quite sincerely. 

But Bianca clearly didn’t believe her. 

She thought Emily’s words were insincere, driven by jealousy. 

“Thank you. Because of my pregnancy, the Johnson family and the Smith family are already discussing the engagement. Soon, I’ll be marrying into the Smith family. Emily, I know James marrying me must make you sad, but ultimately, you and he were never meant to be.” 

Bianca deliberately continued to provoke Emily.

Emily was so composed that Bianca was the one who broke down first. ‘Emily, I know you’re saying this out of anger, but we only got engaged after you broke off the engagement, so you can’t blame me.”

Bianca was using her pregnancy to pressure the Smith family because she knew they wanted to arrange another engagement for James. 

Emily’s words made Bianca’s face turn pale and stiff. 

Seeing Bianca settle down, Emily turned to leave. 

But she was suddenly stopped by someone. 

“Emily, you’re bullying Bianca again!” 

The person who stopped her was none other than Ronnie. 

He glared coldly at Emily, protecting Bianca like a knight. 

“Oh, it’s you! The little sidekick!” 

Emily smiled and said. 

“Emily, I accept your grudge against me, but how can you say that about Ronnie?” 

Bianca spoke up, seemingly defending Ronnie, but more like stirring the pot. 

Ronnie’s face darkened at Emily’s words. Seeing Bianca defend him despite his bad reputation, he looked at Emily with even more hostility. 

“Bianca, I’m fine.” 

Ronnie looked gratefully at Bianca, then sneered at Emily. “You only know how to use underhanded tricks or have a sharp tongue. Do you think that will defeat me or make me give up? Let me tell you, I’ve joined the core team of the latest project at Aiden’s tech company, and my salary is in the millions. Are you mad?”
