“Are you seriously gonna let Hayden die just because we’re broke?” Eli snapped. 

Aiden stayed quiet, not knowing what to do. 

Bianca was just as upset about Hayden’s situation. Another ally down the drain. Ever since Emily came out of the water last time, 

everything had gone south. Bianca’s luck had tanked since then. 

Did Emily pick up something supernatural that chould mess with her? 

Bianca never thought the problem was with her; it was always someone else. She was superstitious enough to believe in stuff like that 

rather than accepting the idea of karma. 

While she mulled over whether to find a spiritualist to cleanse Emily, she didn’t notice that Aiden and Eli were staring at her. 

“Bianca!” 

Eli’s shout snapped her out of her scheming thoughts, and she realized their gazes were peculiar, almost as if she were a tempting piece of meat. 

“Dad, Aiden, why are you looking at me like that? I’m worried about Hayden too, but I don’t have any solutions!” 

Bianca’s eyes welled up with tears, and she quickly began to cry. Normally, Eli and Aiden would first be concerned about her well–being, but now they didn’t seem to notice. 

Maybe they hadn’t realized the shift themselves. Perhaps it was because Bianca was becoming increasingly useless, or maybe her true nature was gradually being revealed. 

“Bianca, have you forgotten that you’re carrying James’s child? You should approach the Smith family. They might have a way to help save Hayden! Eli suggested. 

Bianca hadn’t told them that James had grown to despise her. No, she couldn’t let them look down on her because of this. 

Thinking quickly, Bianca replied, “Dad, Aiden, you’re right. I had forgotten about that. Although I don’t want to use the child for such matters, I’m willing to do it for Hayden. But-” 

“But what? Are you willing or not?” Eli was growing impatient, even looking disappointed in Bianca. 

Bianca cried earnestly, “Dad, you’ve misunderstood me. I just think Emily is closer to Mr. Smith. If Mr. Smith is willing to help, it would increase the chances of getting Hayden back safely. If Emily refuses, I’ll try to help. What do you think?” 

Eli and Aiden exchanged glances and quickly made a decision.

Alright, I’ll try to contact Emily and see if she can help. But considering our strained relationship, she might not be willing,” Aiden said, understanding the situation better. 

Eli didn’t realize this and said, “She wouldn’t dare. It’s her brother’s life at stake. No grudges could justify letting him die! 

Bianca wanted to shift the blame to Emily and decided to stoke the fire a bit more. She choked up, “Aiden, if Emily refuses to save Hayden, I’m willing to apologize. It’s all my fault for making Emily so heartless.” 

“Alright, don’t beat yourself up. I’ll pass the message along. Emily used to do whatever we asked. She shouldn’t refuse to help Hayden. She’s probably just been mad for too long. I’ll smooth things over.” 

Despite his earlier doubts, Aiden seemed more confident now, maybe remembering how Emily used to be. 

“Okay, I’ll wait for your good news, Aiden.” 

Eli frowned and reminded Aiden, “Tell Emily that if she helps, we’ll still be her family.” 

He still hadn’t grasped what Emily truly wanted. 

Aiden knew he wouldn’t find Emily at the villa, so he reached out to Violette to locate her. 

“Violette, Hayden is your nephew. Can you really ignore him? I just want to meet with Emily and respect her decision. Please, let me try.” 

Aiden, trained as an heir, exuded authority and presence, making Violette uneasy. Unable to refuse, she softened, considering Hayden’s 

plight. 

“I can’t make the decision. You know, when Rhett bullied my kid and me, Emily is our pillar. If you blame me, I must clarify. I’ll relay the 

message, but Emily’s decision is hers alone.” 

Violette thankfully had a conscience and didn’t overstep her bounds. 

Otherwise, Emily might reconsider living with Violette after the last incident, where Aiden and others were let in by Violette. Emily had set up a lab in the villa and couldn’t allow unauthorized access. 

“Alright, Violette, I’m counting on you. Please hurry; we only have two days to prepare!” Aiden exaggerated the timeline. 

Violette grew more anxious, “Got it.” 

After hanging up, Violette paced outside Emily’s study until Emily, with her sharp ears, heard the footsteps and opened the door to see 

Violette’s worried face. 

“Violette, if you need something, just knock. Why are you pacing outside?” 

Emily wondered if it was about Rhett again. Was Violette too idle and thinking about Rhett?

*I… Emily, promise you won’t be mad.” 

Violette hesitated but decided to speak. 

‘Just tell me what’s going on.” 

“It’s about Hayden…” 

Violette explained Hayden’s situation and Aiden’s request to meet Emily. 

“Emily, I’m worried about Hayden, but I told Aiden you might not want to help after being hurt by the Johnson family. I’m just relaying 

the message, not forcing you. The Johnson family couldn’t solve it; how can you, alone, manage?” 

Violette quickly expressed her true feelings and stance, fearing Emily’s anger. 

Emily felt reassured knowing Violette’s loyalty. She wouldn’t be betrayed by trusted people in this new life. 

“Alright!” 

“What?” Violette was surprised by Emily’s quick agreement, fearing her anger. 

Emily looked at Violette and repeated, “Aiden wants to meet me? I agree. Let him know.” 

Violette’s support was enough. She was Hayden’s aunt, and Emily didn’t want to force her to abandon the Johnson family entirely. Emily 

valued Violette’s kindness and wouldn’t use her hatred to turn Violette cold–hearted.
