“Mom, don’t you feel bad for her at all?” Tessa asked quietly. 

Grace’s tone was firm, her expression calm. “She brought this on herself. Since she chose to leave Walton Corporation, she should’ve been ready to face the consequences.” 

Seeing her mother’s decisiveness, Tessa knew better than to push further. If she kept arguing, Grace would only grow displeased. So, she chose to follow along instead. 

“I understand, Mom.” 

Grace’s expression softened slightly at her daughter’s obedience. “All you need to do is focus on your work. Just like before, keep securing good projects for the comapny. The rest isn’t your concern.” 

She paused, then added, “I’ve always wanted you to grow stronger, not hide behind me. But when things get difficult, it’s alright to lean on me sometimes.” 

Listening to her mother’s composed tone, Tessa almost found it ironic. 

But she said nothing. 

Grace had already handed her a perfect way to please her–if she rejected it, she’d only seem ungrateful. 

“Alright, Mom. I know you’re doing this for my own good. I won’t let you down.” 

The two of them sat close together, as if they were each other’s greatest source of comfort. 

Standing nearby, Arnold couldn’t help but feel uneasy after hearing their conversation. 

He never thought Grace could become like this. Did she truly feel nothing for Aurora anymore? 

He sighed inwardly, feeling sorry for her. 

To have a mother like that was almost cruel. 

When William was still alive, things had been different. At least back then, Aurora had someone who truly cared 

for her. 

Now, with Grace so cold, Arnold knew Aurora could only rely on herself. Still, from what he’d heard, her husband seemed like a good man. 

It seemed that as long as the two of them shared the same enemy, their days together would go smoothly. 

Now, all Arnold could do was silently pray for Aurora. 

Meanwhile, the storm online was only growing worse. But no matter how far the rumors spread, they still hadn’t achieved what Aaron and Tessa wanted. 

Tessa had waited so long, yet despite the chaos online, the director showed no sign of replacing Aurora.

Even Aaron couldn’t figure it out. When he called Tessa, he voiced his confusion. 

“Why hasn’t that director replaced her yet?” he muttered. 

He just couldn’t understand it. 

By now, any sensible director would’ve distanced himself from Aurora completely. Why would he still allow her face to remain on the official poster? 

The director’s social media page was flooded with angry comments. People were calling for Aurora’s removal, claiming she had used personal connections to get into the show. 

How could someone like her appear on the same program as their idol, Tessa? 

Just the thought of her in the same frame disgusted the crowd. 

[Who even is Aurora Walton? How does she have this much influence?] 

[Exactly! Isn’t she just a company owner? What, did she sponsor the show herself to get in?]
