“Our young Alphas are moving through The Beast trying to get those points.” Jackson says.
“What level did you get to?” I ask him.
“Six. I heard you did as well.” he says.
“Sure did!” I raise my hand and we high-five.
That night at dinner, I’m pleasantly surprised that our friends, especially Cassie, but Cole and Justin as well, give me tokens for helping them on The Beast.
“I didn’t do anything.” I say
“You made it feel manageable and you gave me the confidence I needed to overcome my fear, Sebastiana. I’d give you all my tokens if I thought the instructors would allow it,” she says.
That night. I head to the sex class feeling pretty damn good.
Ryan POV
“I have an idea on how to break Sebastiana AND get her out of the way for you to break Shane next week.” Ezra says.
“I’m all ears,” Dane says.
We’re meeting again, our nightly meeting to discuss hell week next week. I’m glad Ezra has come up with something for Sebi. I hate it, but it’s a necessary part of the Academy. We can’t rebuild our young Alphas until we tear them down to their basic foundation. I’m also glad that it won’t be me breaking her. I’m not sure I could do it. I love my sister. I love her spunk and her fearlessness. It’s going to be hard for me to see her broken next week, but at least I’ll be able to comfort her.
“Sebastiana missed my class on Monday because she was in the infirmary. On Wednesday, she looked utterly lost as we went through what we’d learned and started on the next chapters,” he
says.
“That’s not surprising,” I say. I didn’t have a choice as an Alpha heir. I had to learn the financial side of managing a pack, but I hated every minute of it. If I hadn’t been an heir, I probably would have skipped all but the one required financial class, just like Sebi is.

“Yeah, we knew this would be her weak spot,” Dane agrees.
“Well, you were absolutely right. Where she jumps in during warrior training and even in pack management classes, in my class, she sits quietly like she’s trying to blend in with the furniture. So Friday, at the end of class, I’m going to give them their first test. There’s no way she’ll do better than a C, and for Sebastiana, that’s as much of a failure as if she actually did fail the test.”

“Very true,” I agree. Average isn’t an option for my sister. She’s always wanted to be the best, to make her family proud, to live up to the standard that our family has created over time.
“I’ll give the tests back on Monday, knowing that it will throw her into her breaking point. On Tuesday, I’ll pull her out of warrior training to talk to her and that’s your chance to go at Shane,” he says.
I blink at him, then look at Dane.
“That’s fucking brilliant!” Dane says.
Ezra shrugs. “I thought so.”
I look at Dane. “Then you and I can tag-team Shane until we break him down.”
“He’s not going to go easy,” Dane says.
“No, he won’t. He and Christian have a very tight bond from what I understand. But I think Enya is the key there,” I say.
“What do you mean?” Benjamin asks.
