Chapter 1522Â
When she learned that the recording would take place the next day, Megan had been reviewing the schedule nonstop, unusually focused.Â
Because of that, she hadn’t paid any attention to what was happening online.Â
If she had, she would’ve already known who was targeting Aurora, and that person was someone she actually knew, someone still closely tied to Lucas. The two of them had maintained frequent contact.Â
“Her name’s Yvonne Song. Do you know her?”Â
Aurora asked at just the right moment, curious to see how Megan would react to the name.Â
After all, Megan had attended the family dinner before, so she should know at least a little about Yvonne.Â
It was Aurora’s first time attending the Carter family’s dinner that year.Â
She hadn’t been familiar with the rules or the people involved.Â
When Edwin mentioned that woman, she’d been curious, but she had no way to look into it and didn’t know who she was.Â
Some things she had simply kept to herself.Â
Hearing the name, Megan looked stunned.Â
“Aurora, are you sure you didn’t get that wrong?”Â
Aurora widened her eyes, confused.Â
“I’m pretty sure that’s what the director said. I don’t think I heard it wrong.”Â
They had just spoken on the phone.Â
Surely, her memory wasn’t that bad.Â
Seeing how certain Aurora was, Megan started doubting her own memory. She scratched her head, puzzled. “ But I thought Yvonne was living abroad. Did she suddenly come back?”Â
“What makes you so sure it’s her?” Aurora asked curiously. Why was Megan so convinced the show’s new judge was the same Yvonne she was thinking of?Â
“Well, it actually makes sense,” Megan replied after a pause. “Yvonne works in architecture too, so if the show invited her as a judge, it wouldn’t really be that surprising.”Â
Hearing Megan’s words, Aurora fell silent for a moment. It couldn’t possibly be that much of a coincidence, could it?Â
But the way Megan described it did sound a lot like the woman the director had mentioned.Â
If it really turned out to be her, what was she supposed to do tomorrow?Â
1/2Â
Then again, Aurora tried to see it from another angle. Yvonne probably didn’t even know her. She had just returned to the country-maybe she’d simply accepted the job by chance.Â
After thinking it through, Aurora felt that was more likely.Â
After all, she couldn’t assume the worst. Maybe Yvonne was just focused on advancing her own career.Â
There was no point in overanalyzing things or trying to guess what was in someone else’s mind.Â
Megan noticed the thoughtful look on Aurora’s face and asked awkwardly, “Do you think it’s really that much of a coincidence? Could tomorrow’s judge actually be her?”Â
“I’m not sure,” Aurora replied seriously. “These past few days I’ve either been traveling or going through the script. I haven’t kept up with what’s happening online.”Â
She rarely paid attention to online gossip, so she knew little about the person both the director and Megan had mentioned.Â
The only reason she even recognized the name was because Edwin had brought it up during that family dinner.Â
Otherwise, she never would’ve noticed Yvonne at all.Â
Aurora had always been focused on her own work. She never compared herself to others, nor did she see anyÂ
need to.Â
“It’s fine. Let’s just focus on our own thing,” she said calmly. “No need to worry about all that.”Â
