Chapter 1525

Though Megan loved to sleep in, she knew how to prioritize. This wasn’t something to take lightly.

If she treated it as a joke, there’d be no point in staying by Aurora’s side at all.

Meanwhile, Lucas had rushed through the night and finally arrived in Bustin City on the morning of Aurora’s recording.

After arriving, he didn’t inform anyone, not even his uncle.

He wanted to head straight to Aurora’s filming location. He needed to see for himself whether Yvonne would make things difficult for her if no one knew he was around.

There had always been rumors swirling outside. He used to ignore them because back then, he was on his own.

But things were different now. Now he had Aurora.

She was both his armor and his weakness.

He wouldn’t allow anyone to make assumptions about her, nor would he let her be put in danger or have her life disrupted because of him.

That was something he refused to see happen.

So, Lucas chose to arrive quietly, wanting to observe from the shadows and find out whether Yvonne would actually target Aurora.

And if she did, then he would have to decide whether the so-called bond of years past was even worth considering.

Compared to Aurora, those years of sentiment meant nothing.

Lucas hadn’t told anyone about his trip to Bustin City.

Only his uncle knew he was coming, though not exactly when.

As for Yvonne, while she knew Lucas was supposed to come to the city, she never expected him to head straight for the production site.

So, when Lucas appeared on set, no one recognized him.

He was dressed inconspicuously, almost too ordinary, though the air around him was anything but.

Some crew members even whispered among themselves, wondering why this “staff member” carried such a commanding presence.

His aura alone felt far too strong-could he be some high-profile executive secretly joining the show for experience?

The thought was strange, but no one dared to ask. The recording had just begun.

No one had time to think that much. Everyone was too busy doing their jobs.

Meanwhile, Aurora and Megan had already finished getting ready and arrived at the filming site.

When the director saw Aurora, he immediately greeted her with enthusiasm.

“Miss Walton, it’s been such a long time!”

The director’s face bloomed like a chrysanthemum. He had met many investors before, but few with both talent and beauty like Aurora.

And her looks, rare even by entertainment industry standards, truly impressed him.

He was quite pleased. Having someone like Aurora on the show would no doubt attract attention.

With her appearance alone, he was certain the ratings would go up.

That was exactly why he had considered every angle carefully. Plus, with all the recent gossip surrounding Aurora, it might even boost the show’s popularity indirectly.

He wasn’t worried about viewership at all.

The program was broadcast live, and the audience could interact through real-time comments, allowing the team to adjust the flow of the show instantly.

“Mr. Smith, you’re too kind,” Aurora replied with a polite smile. “It’s an honor to finally meet you in person. Your reputation truly precedes you.”
