Emily knew she had to handle this before she left. 

Daniel nodded. “Don’t worry about it. I’ll take care of it.” 

Emily felt a weight lift off her shoulders. She then pulled a small box out of her bag. 

“Inside are two antidote pills. One for you and one for Grandpa. If there’s an emergency, 

take them right away. They should keep you safe until I can get back with the full 

antidote.” 

She handed the box to Daniel. “Don’t open it or take the pills unless you absolutely have

The downside of these antidote pills was that they lost their potency easily, making them 

hard to store.

Daniel focused on the main point. “Get back? Where are you going?”
