Grace’s heart had long drifted toward Tessa. Aurora wasn’t blind-she could see it clearly. 

The love she couldn’t get from Grace, she had already found completely in Megan. 

Because of that, Aurora saw Megan as family. 

They might not share blood, but to Aurora, Megan was the family she had chosen for herself, and she couldn’t have loved her more. 

Before long, their car pulled up to the filming location. 

Lucas, hidden among the crew, climbed out carrying equipment. 

If Desmond saw him now, he’d probably be stunned. The pampered CEO who never so much as lifted a finger was actually blending in with the staff, hauling gear. 

Anyone who caught sight of him would be just as shocked. 

After all, in the office Lucas was known for his temper-his cold aura alone was enough to keep people at a distance. 

But here he was, quietly working behind the scenes, just to stay close to Aurora. 

Everyone could tell she meant a great deal to him. 

Given how things stood, it was obvious. 

That was why Desmond wisely chose to side with Aurora rather than Yvonne. 

He knew Lucas would never stand with Yvonne. 

If the two of them were meant to be together, they’d had plenty of chances before. 

Yet now, Aurora had entered the picture while Yvonne was still abroad, buried in her career, 

Desmond had always known there was no future between Lucas and Yvonne. 

If there ever had been, it would’ve happened years ago. 

Now, Aurora had simply taken the chance that was always waiting to be claimed. 

Everyone there was an adult-they weren’t fools. They could tell where the real value lay. 

When the car finally stopped, Megan’s eyes lit up with excitement. 

“Aurora, we’re finally here! My legs are numb from sitting so long.” 

“We’ll get a good rest tonight after the recording wraps up.” 

Aurora looked at Megan’s tired face, feeling a pang of sympathy.

Megan was the kind of person who kept everything bottled up. No matter how much pain she felt, she’d never say a word. She’d rather hide her wounds and pretend everything was fine. 

Just like today, she hadn’t mentioned her back pain, but Aurora had noticed how she kept rubbing her lower 

back. 

“I’m fine. Your recording’s more important,” Megan said. 

“But your health matters just as much.” 

Aurora’s tone turned firm. 

Since Megan had come along with her, she felt responsible for her well-being. She couldn’t let her friend’s parents worry. She was the one who brought her out-there was no way she’d let anything happen halfway through. 

And of course, she had to make sure Megan stayed safe. 

“Alright, alright, let’s drop it,” Megan said quickly, seeing the sincerity in Aurora’s eyes. She didn’t know how to handle that kind of genuine care, so she hurried to change the subject. 

Aurora said nothing more, simply pressing down the emotion in her chest. She quietly took note of Megan’s discomfort, tucking it away in her heart.
