‘Finnegan, since you want her, I guess I can do you this favor!” 

Orville chuckled and waved his hand, signaling his men to make an opening. “Lady, if you want your friends to live, stay 

behind and let them go!” 

Emily wasn’t sure if Daniel and Orville were in on this together. 

But if she stayed, at least Daniel wouldn’t get rid of her right away, giving her a chance to escape. 

Her friends needed to leave first. Otherwise, they might not make it until backup arrived. 

“Alright!” 

Emily didn’t hesitate and agreed immediately. 

Orville looked at Emily with newfound interest. He smirked at Daniel and said, “Finnegan, you’ve got good taste. This one’s 

got some guts.” 

Emily signaled to Leopard and the others. “Go!” 

Leopard caught on quickly. Without wasting any time, he and the others dashed through the opening. 

As soon as they left, Orville subtly signaled his men. 

He turned to Emily with a sinister grin. “Alright, your friends are gone. If you know what’s good for you, come over here. 

Don’t blame me if things get ugly.” 

His smile vanished, replaced by a ruthless look. 

Daniel hated the way Orville was eyeing Emily. He couldn’t bring himself to be harsh with her, so who did Orville think he 

was? 

A flash of anger crossed his eyes. 

Around them, Orville’s men watched Emily like hawks. 

“Show some respect and don’t scare her,” Daniel said in a low voice. 

Orville suppressed his impatience and nodded with a smile. “You’re right.” 

He then spoke more gently, “Lady, you’d better listen and come over here. You might end up living well with this man by

Emily knew that the women brought here suffered terribly, far worse than any online rumors suggested. 

Orville believed that Emily would catch his drift. 

Emily cooperatively dropped the knife she was holding and slowly walked towards Orville and Daniel. 

No one noticed the glint in her eyes or the silver needles hidden in her fingers. 

She was waiting for the right moment to strike Orville unexpectedly. 

Just as Emily reached them, Daniel suddenly grabbed her and pulled her to his side, looking impatient.

Just as Emily raised her hand to strike Orville, Daniel suddenly grabbed it and looked at her intensely.

As she hesitated, they entered the room.

Daniel had a gun pressed against Orville’s head. 

York had closed the door without anyone noticing. 

Orville’s men drew their guns, creating a standoff with Daniel’s crew.

you can just waltz out of here with a handful of people?” 

Orville tried to intimidate Daniel. 

Daniel chuckled, “You know what happened to the last guy who tried to threaten me?” 

Orville frowned. 

“He ended up dead,” Daniel said. 

Emily felt a wave of relief knowing Daniel wasn’t allied with Orville. 

Reinforcements were on the way, and she didn’t want Daniel caught up with Orville. 

If he had been in league with Orville, she would have had to deal with him herself.

How did she know he had more people outside?

Emily pulled out a flare from her backpack, laughing like a madwoman, “My people are more numerous and stronger than 

you think. You’re finished!” 

She slowed down her last sentence, mocking Orville. 

“A woman like you, what can you do? Stop bluffing. I don’t believe you!” Orville sneered. 

Emily didn’t bother convincing him. 

She turned to Daniel, “Reinforcements will be here soon. We need to free the girls first to avoid more innocent casualties!” 

When people felt cornered, they might start killing indiscriminately. 

Daniel nodded and prodded Orville with his gun. “If you want to live, tell your men to stand down.” 

“You think I’m afraid of death? Kill me if you want, but remember, once you do, my men will slaughter you without 

mercy!” 

Emily stepped forward. “That’s not up to you.” 

Orville thought she was just bluffing. 

In the next moment, Emily’s silver needle pierced him. 

The pain spread through his body like a thousand ants biting him. 

Emily didn’t give Orville a chance to scream. 

Another needle silenced him completely.
