Chapter 1548

Aurora immediately noticed and frowned, stepping in front of Megan protectively.

“Miss Song, you might want to remember we’re still on camera. Is this really how a mentor should be speaking to contestants?”

But Yvonne didn’t flinch. With her powerful background and the show largely funded by Edwin’s backing, she had

little reason to worry.

She lifted her chin, lips curving into a smug smile. “You don’t need to concern yourself with that. Since your renovation concept turned out well, I’ll give you credit where it’s due.”

Then, gesturing toward Megan, she added sharply, “But this assistant of yours, talking to me like that on camera, doesn’t that say more about your lack of discipline as a leader? Isn’t that your responsibility?”

Aurora’s eyes narrowed. She could tell Yvonne wasn’t as rattled as she pretended to be. In fact, she’d recovered quickly and already found a new angle to spin the situation.

Yvonne had redirected the conversation entirely.

No one was talking about whether she could design or whether Aurora’s skills surpassed hers anymore.

Instead, the focus had shifted to Aurora’s supposed failure to manage her own staff a clever deflection.

Blown out of proportion, it sounded like a lack of respect toward a judge. Downplayed, it was nothing but a minor

on-set argument.

But Yvonne made sure the blame pointed straight at Aurora.

And just as she expected, public opinion followed.

The live chat, once debating the two women’s design abilities, quickly turned on Aurora.

[Exactly. No matter what, Miss Song’s still a judge.]

[That’s her assistant, right? Talking to a mentor like that? Totally out of line.]

[Honestly, it’s obvious they’ve been trash-talking Miss Song behind the scenes. That’s why she feels bold enough to speak up like that.]

[Just look at them, clearly trying to undermine her.]

[Ever heard the saying “blame the master for the servant’s behavior”? If that assistant’s that rude on camera, imagine what they say off it.]

Within minutes, the comments were overwhelmingly one-sided.

Aurora had no idea what was happening online, but the director did, and what he saw in the live comments made him deeply uneasy,

He had been the one to invite Aurora onto the show, and he knew exactly what kind of person she was.

From the start, it had been Yvonne stirring up trouble, yet somehow, she had managed to twist the situation so smoothly that the audience now sympathized with her.

The fact that Yvonne could redirect public opinion so effortlessly only proved how skilled she was at playing the game. She knew how to control a narrative, even through a screen.

The director sighed inwardly, frustration tightening in his chest.

What was wrong with people these days? Couldn’t they see what was really happening?

It was obvious this whole conflict had started because of Yvonne’s own provocation, yet now the blame had fallen squarely on Aurora and Megan.

The assistant director leaned closer, giving him a questioning glance-should they cut the live feed?
