I rushed to his side. The pain must have been unbearable if it forced a shift. I shifted from Nix wolf’s form to my human body so I could check him over with my hands. I wrapped my arms around him and helped him to his feet. “Are you okay?” He nodded once, but I could see how tired he was. “Is the power I am feeding you enough to get through this?” I looked towards the pack house. “We still have to finish this.” 

He grunted once. “I can get through it.” He winced as he turned to me. “It just hurts to breathe…and move…and be alive.” He snorted and then grimaced. 

Kiss him. Nix trotted to the clearing. Megan is pulling power and feeding it to Erubus. If you do the same and push power into his human body, we might be able to get him through the silver poisoning faster. 

“Here goes nothing.” I murmured as I pulled his face down to my lips. 

“Amy…” He whispered before I kissed him. 

I heard Sequan cough before he turned away. “I’ll watch your back.” He sounded confused, but he was smart enough not to interrupt. 

I opened myself to the power, pulled it to my lips and breathed it into Rowan. I heard him groan in relief. I heard another awkward cough from Sequan, and I wanted to laugh but I was too busy taking care of my mate. 

Rowan. I called to the man in my arms. You have to tell me when you are close to being healed. I can’t afford to leave you burned out. 

He nodded against my lips, not sparing a second moment to speak to me, even in our minds. He was breathing in my power, basking in the healing rush, while also kissing me so hard that my eyes rolled back into my head. 

Calm yourself. Nix snorted as she listened to my inner thoughts. You don’t have time to rut right now. The lust that hit me was a rush of heat and curling toes. I wanted the man in my arms, but she was right. We didn’t have 

time to think of that. 

Rowan’s hands pushed back against my shoulders. The kiss ended with both of us panting, but for slightly different reasons. “Are you okay?” My question was thick with need. 

His answering smirk had me biting my lip. “Yes. Who knew your kisses could heal and get me hard?” His answer was murmured against my lips, but from the choking noise from Sequan, I figured he wasn’t as quiet as he thought. He adjusted himself through his pants, and poor Sequan coughed again. 

“Can I turn around yet?” Sequan asked awkwardly. 

“Yes.” I stepped back, and I felt the heat that pooled between my thighs cool, while my face burned. “Sorry. I just didn’t know anyway to heal you faster.” 

Rowan smiled. “Never apologize for kissing me. I don’t care who is around.” He stood up on his own and took a few testing steps. “That…actually helped. Like a lot.” He smiled. 

I nodded once before shifting back into Nix. “We need to move.” I looked around and found another tree I could climb. This one was a little harder than the last. The angle was not as steep as the first. I used my claws to dig in, and I ran up the side. 

“What are you doing?” Both men yelled as I reached the first branch.

Chapter 631 

+25 Bonus 

“I’m looking at what we are running into.” I realized I needed to be a little higher, so I leapt to the next branch and walked as far out as I could safely. The tree branch bounced with each step, and I heard Rowan swear under his breath. I grinned as I looked down. “I’m not going to die from climbing a tree.” 

“You might from falling out of the fucking thing though.” He shot back. 

“I’m not weak.

“No, but all it takes is landing wrong. Snapping your neck doesn’t care how fucking strong you are, Amy.” He growled as he paced under me. 

I ignored him as I turned back to the pack house. I couldn’t make out much, but there were at least fifty more wolves fighting there. I didn’t know how many of our wolves were left. Or how many fighters we even started with. I was about to jump down when I noticed something. Some wolves were moving slower. They were barely holding on. 

I jumped to the ground and turned on Rowan. “How did you get silver poisoning?” 

“What?” He turned away from the pack house and looked at me. 

“How did you get silver into your system after you left the cell?” I paced around him as I tried to figure it out. “ You didn’t touch any of the weapons. Nor did you touch Theo as face as I can remember.” I stopped, my leg dangling in the air. “You all ran out, leaving me with the Goddesses, and somehow you got silver into your system.” I turned to face him. “So how did it get there…and are you the only one that was poisoned.” 3
