Yvonne gripped her bag tightly, not expecting even the director to turn against her. She could clearly hear the sarcasm beneath his words.Â
“I’m tired. Have someone else take over the rest of the shoot.” She looked straight at the director.Â
This time, there was no attempt to hide the threat in her tone.Â
The director went along easily. “Sure. Let’s wrap it up for today, then. We’ve got enough footage, and everyone can take the rest of the day to prepare for tomorrow’s segment.”Â
Everyone exchanged glances. It was obvious he was giving Yvonne a way out.Â
He knew her temperament too well. And since there wasn’t a backup judge available, continuing the shoot madeÂ
little sense.Â
Even though everyone knew what kind of person she was, at that moment, the crew still silently thanked her.Â
