After chatting with Arturo, Aurelia asked Miranda to put together the Dreamscape press conference and send it over. She wanted to see it for herself. 

Miranda hesitated. “You really don’t need to watch it. It’s not worth your time.” 

“What’s up?” Aurelia asked, confused. 

Miranda pouted and grumbled, “They turned what should’ve been a cool game launch into a public love 

confession.” 

Aurelia didn’t mind at all and still wanted Miranda to send her the press 

conference. 

The first half was all about Dreamscape, but after one reporter threw out a random question, the whole thing turned into a relationship reveal. 

Miranda, still salty about it, just chopped off the second half of the video. 

Worried she might miss something, Aurelia decided to check out Dreamscape’s official Twitter account herself. 

To her surprise, the most popular video had nothing to do with the game at all. 

Aurelia was just about to swipe away to look for some actual game–related videos. 

The screen abruptly cut to Cassian. 

Aurelia froze for a moment. 

The next second, she heard Cassian’s heartfelt confession. 

“She’s incredible. How could I ever bear to cage her in marriage? Even after we’re married, she’ll still have her own sky to soar in. She’ll always be free,” Cassian said softly, his eyes full of affection. 

Aurelia lowered her gaze, a hint of sarcasm in her smile. ‘How touching,‘ she thought. 

‘So that’s Cassian when he’s really in love,‘ Aurelia mused to herself. 

It was somewhat ridiculous, really. After seven years, this was the first time she’d ever seen this side of him. 

But none of it mattered anymore. 

Aurelia swiped past the video and skimmed through Dreamscape posts and comments. 

From marketing to beta testing to the launch event, the content was all the work Arturo did when he was at Alpite Group. 

But they did make some tweaks to the character designs.

For instance, the female characters‘ costumes were generally on the sexy side. 

She’d barely closed the video when her phone rang. It was Mia. 

Before Aurelia could even say a word, Mia started ranting.

She snapped, “Tessa is Cassian’s side chick, right? She looks all put–together, but she’s just trash, no morals whatsoever! 

“How much did she shell out to boost that video? The likes are through the roof! She’s dying for everyone to see Cassian going all mushy for her. 

“I made a burner account and called her out as a homewrecker in the comments, and boom, my comment got wiped, and my account got blocked! Talk about a guilty conscience. 

“This world is like a giant warehouse. There are big parcels, small parcels, some with barcodes, some without!” Aurelia knew how Mia was. If she didn’t let her blow off steam, Mia would probably implode. 

So she just put Mia on speaker and let her go off. 

Meanwhile, Aurelia got on with her own stuff. 

After Mia had finally let off steam, she asked Aurelia, “Didn’t Tessa lose to you in two projects back–to–back? And now she’s already launching a new one? She’s seriously indestructible. She keeps bouncing back no matter what!” 

Aurelia laughed, “That’s because she’s always got someone to bail her out. She has top–tier connections and resources. Even if she falls a thousand times, Cassian will always be there to pick her up.” 

“You can still laugh about this?” Mia was about to blow a fuse. 

There was just no way she could stay calm about any of this. 

Every time she saw those two shameless jerks flaunting their relationship everywhere, she just felt so bad for Aurelia. 

Aurelia was with him for seven years, and he never once claimed her, never went public about their relationship. 

Back then, Aurelia was honestly just so pitiful. 

She proposed, and she even agreed to a secret marriage. 

Even after all that, Cassian never gave a damn about her. 

However, he was out there flaunting his love with Tessa, not caring about Aurelia’s feelings. 

How could Mia not be pissed? 

Mia was so mad that she wished she could just take those two out herself!

Aurelia tried to calm her down. “Hey, let me tell you some good news to cheer you up.” 

“What good news?” Mia asked, still fuming. 

“After Nietzki Corp’s self–driving car launch, the company landed a few more deals, and your net worth just shot up again!” Aurelia said. 

“How much?” Mia’s attention was instantly diverted. 

Aurelia told her the number. 

Mia screamed on the spot. “Aurelia, I love you! I’ll be your loyal sidekick for life.” 

“Still mad?” Aurelia asked with a laugh. 

Mia was grinning like an idiot. “Mad? Who gets mad? Only losers do! Getting rich fixes everything!” 

Honestly, nothing beats the thrill of making money, way better than dealing with men any day. 

Suddenly, Mia could totally relate to Aurelia. Finally, she understood why Aurelia didn’t care about men 

anymore. 

Before Dreamscape’s official launch, Tessa and the founder, Ewan, were interviewed by a major media outlet. 

They were basking in the limelight. 

Jasper couldn’t be there in person, but he posted in the group chat that he’d grab 20,000 copies of the magazine once it dropped, just to show his support. 

Of course, he was also trying to make up for his last screw–up. 

After all, he’d totally embarrassed himself last time. 

He even tagged Gideon and Liam in the group chat, telling them to show some support. 

But nobody bothered to reply. 

Jasper thought to himself, ‘Guess everyone’s just way too busy these days.‘ 

After Tessa wrapped up the interview, the editor–in–chief showed up personally to thank her and gifted her the latest issue of the magazine. 

When Tessa spotted Aurelia on the cover, her smile froze for a second. 

She had no choice but to plaster on a fake smile, thank the editor, and accept the magazine anyway. 

The moment she got home, she chucked the magazine onto the floor to vent her annoyance. 

Daniel was rarely home, but tonight he was in the living room, glued to the financial news.

Right then, the news started running a segment about Aurelia. 

“Dad!” Tessa yelled, her voice sharp with anger. “Turn off the TV!” 

“What’s wrong? Why are you so upset?” Daniel asked, looking worried.

Tessa couldn’t exactly say what was really pissing her off, so she just scowled and said she had a headache and didn’t want to hear anything else. 

“Are you sick? Should we go to the hospital?” Daniel asked, his voice full of concern. 

“No, I’ll just go to my room and get some sleep,” Tessa replied. For once, she didn’t have coffee with Daniel or talk about work as she usually did. 

Instead, she just went straight to her room, not even bothering with dinner. 

Karlie sent over some photos and videos showing how things were coming along at the engagement venue. 

Since Tessa was busy with work back in the country, she had Karlie stay on the island to supervise the whole setup for her. 

A few of the shots turned out pretty great, so Tessa just had to drop them in the group chat, asking everyone to give her some feedback and help her pick which arrangement looked the best. 

She was just about to hit send when the group chat suddenly blew up. 

Jasper dropped a screenshot of the Ashmont Rich List into the chat, totally losing his mind. [Holy crap! What am I seeing? Aurelia’s actually on the list!] 

Tessa repeated it, “Wait, Aurelia’s the richest woman in Ashmont now?” 

“No way!” 

Tessa froze mid–type. 

Her expression soured, but she still couldn’t help but tap open Jasper’s screenshot. 

The list was the latest weekly update, and Aurelia was officially crowned Ashmont’s queen of wealth, all thanks to InquireMind, her entire business empire, and the massive influence of the port renovation project. 

Even Gideon, the group’s resident lurker, couldn’t stay silent anymore. 

[Well deserved,] Gideon commented. 

Liam popped up, too. [No shock there. With her business brain, stacking up cash is just a matter of time.] 

Liam added, [Is she releasing all these figures to prep for an IPO?] 

Tessa’s already sour mood took a nosedive. 

She wanted to call Cassian, hoping he’d say something to make her feel better.
