70 A Deadly TemptationÂ
Suddenly, the painting came alive, the woman’s waist rolling passionately against his cock, and the man’s hand gliding up and down her waist before moving further to cup her breasts. She held them tightly, mouth wide in ecstacy.Â
I could hear her moans, strained and out of control. I could feel the man’s desire as he took charge of splitting her body in pleasure. They were both untamed, and the heat surged around the painting, the colors dyed in red.Â
“I see us…” I whispered under my breath, gasping when all the paintings displayed were of Ares and me in different positions.Â
The moving colors were unimaginable, and I could smell them. My senses sharpened until I was mentally drowned in its textures.Â
“You’re trembling,” Ares mumbled.Â
I tensed when I felt something hard poking against me behind me when he pressed my body more into his, like he wanted to merge them.Â
I looked over my shoulder, Ares‘ breath so close it mingled with mine, almost like we were on the same frequency.Â
“Keep your eyes on the painting,”Â
I did so without a second thought, figuring it was better than keeping my eyes on him, for I don’t know what I would succumb to. I had no control of my body at this moment, and my brain was giving up on me.Â
I was still like one of those statues on display, fearing any movement would compromise me, but I also wanted so badly to move and feel him against my fingertips.Â
I licked my lips when his hand pulled my hair to the side, exposing my neck, and I angled it to give him a better view.Â
shuddered when I felt his cold lips so close, but never touching. It was torturous waiting for the inevitable, only to be denied.Â
“Some art isn’t meant to be looked at… It’s meant to be touched… to feel…”Â
His fingers glided over my flesh, my pulse racing beneath them. He was slow, as if counting each vein.Â

Ares paused with his fingers pressed on my neck, every vibration felt beneath his palm.Â
“The paintings speak with colors…” He said. “Red has always been a temptation.”Â
“Blue has always been deadly.”Â
He chuckled deeply, and the mere sound caused his chest to vibrate, and goosebumps rose on my skin in pleasant chills.Â
“A deadly temptation,” he whispered to my ear. “That sounds about right.”Â
My legs weakened, my waist crumpling from a strong sensation that shot up my spine, when I felt his tongue moving along my neck in a smooth flow.Â
The painting before us wasn’t as it should be anymore; it transformed to Ares and me, our position, and the scene unfolding.Â
It was the most beautiful art I have ever seen.Â
I didn’t know when Ares backed me against the wall. The only grasp I had on my own body was suspended, only to be awakened when I was held captivated under his icy blue eyes, so cold yet so passionate.Â
“Say the words.”Â
When my brain came back to functioning, I realized what he meant.Â
I consent.Â
Those two words that’d flipped this entire thing apart, and then there would be no going back.Â
The look in Ares‘ eyes was like they were compelling me to say them, and I knew in my heart if I made the mistake of doing so, Ares was gonna fuck me right here and now.Â
I wanted him too. But there was this exhilaration to delay and make him hopeless forÂ
- me.Â
I clenched my fist, and my nails digging into my flesh gave me strength.Â
“Is that your wish?” I asked softly, my voice barely a whisper.Â
A smile flashed on his lips as he stole the little space between our faces. “What’s the point of using it for something like this?”Â
“Aren’t you desperate?” I taunted.Â

He didn’t say a word, but I could tell my words affected him. I guess it was too much for a man like him, under the trap of his own starvation.Â
He grasped my chin. “When you sing those words to my ears, you’ll be wrecked, as it becomes the only thing you think and breathe.”Â
I want to be brave and tell him it wouldn’t go as he described, but I believe his everyÂ
word.Â
I shuddered when he took my bottom lip between his teeth.Â
“Only then will I reward my baby girl.”Â
I whimpered when he repeated the action, but this time he sucked before his tongue smeared the rest of my lipstick, and he tore himself away from me.Â
My legs almost gave out, but I was somehow still on my feet without collapsing. Ares dipped his hand into his coat and pulled out his handkerchief to wipe off the lipstick stain on his lips, eyeing me with a hunger that could set this entire place on fire.Â
“It’s getting late…” he said before walking out of the room.Â
I stayed there until his shadow disappeared. I faced the glass, fixed my hair, and my lipstick.Â
When I finished, I hurried out of the building. This date went sideways, far from how I expected this night to play out. Ares was becoming difficult for me to handle.Â
Though it pleased me, because I saw that hint of frustration in his eyes. He may have covered it up with his calm composure, but I could see between the cracks. I was proud to know that I could make him feel that way, and that his icebergs can melt if I pushed the right buttons.Â
A newfound energy coursed through me as I walked to the car, and Ares opened the door for me.Â
But I caught him off guard when I kissed his cheek. “I enjoyed our date, honey.”Â
I got in, eyeing Ares amusedly, who did so in return before he shut the car door.Â
I tried to calm my breathing, waiting until he got in and Julian drove us out.Â
“I’m glad you did.”Â
His words sounded genuine.Â
