Molly obediently went to Emily as Frank passed her over, her eyes shining with excitement. 

“Molly, be good. Daddy has something to take care of. Can you go inside the RV first?” Frank said gently. 

A mischievous glint flashed in Molly’s lowered eyes. 

“Daddy, I’ll be good,” Molly replied sweetly.

As Molly stepped into the RV, the door stayed open for several seconds before finally closing, whether on purpose or not. 

That was just enough time for Drake to see everything inside. 

Everyone was gawking, eyes wide, necks stretched out like giraffes, wishing they could shove their heads right in. 

Drake was so shocked he forgot what he was doing, just standing there like he’d been hit by lightning. 

“D–Drake, look inside…” Even Jerry, who was always quick with his words, started stuttering. 

Jerry tugged at Drake’s sleeve, shouted, barely able to contain his excitement. 

“Man, it looks so cozy in there! Imagine if we could actually stay inside,” Jerry blurted out. 

Seeing the inside of the RV, everyone looked like they were losing their minds. Even the ordinary folks in the back were itching to get in, clutching their weapons tighter without even noticing. 

Peyton, standing in the third row, couldn’t hide the jealousy on his face the moment he spotted Frank. His fists were clenched so tight his knuckles turned white, trying to calm the storm raging inside him. 

‘No way… He’s still alive?‘Peyton thought, a mix of shock and bitterness churning in his gut. 

Back when they were neighbors, Peyton’s wife would always compare him to Frank, saying he couldn’t measure up to him in anything. 

When the apocalypse finally hit, Peyton awakened his water power and became a powerful powered human. He thought he could finally hold his head high in front of his wife. 

But now, not only was Frank still kicking, but he’d also become a powered human. It was like Frank was haunting him, never giving him a break. 

Peyton lowered his gaze, hiding the jealousy in his eyes, and didn’t say a word. 

Drake finally managed to pull his gaze away, swallowing hard, unable to hide the greed in his eyes. 

“Oh, never thought you were such a ladies‘ man,” Drake teased with a laugh. 

Everyone got the message loud and clear: Frank was the boss here, and those women were all his. 

As soon as he finished, Drake was already at Frank’s side, arms spread wide like they were long–lost buddies. 

Frank’s eyes flashed as he stepped forward, gripping his machete tight. In a heartbeat, his whole vibe turned deadly. 

That dangerous aura made everyone freeze. Drake and the other powered humans all looked freaked out. 

They hadn’t expected him to snap so quickly. 

At the last possible moment, Drake tried to dodge left, but Frank’s machete crashed down, brutally severing Drake’s right

arm in one savage swing. 

Suddenly, Joan cried out in pain, her voice barely more than a whisper. 

Blood sprayed everywhere, but in the apocalypse chill, it froze into crimson ice almost instantly.

Drake clamped his hand over the stump, his eyes bulging from the agony, cold sweat soaking his face as his whole body went into spasms. 

With a wound like that in this frozen wasteland and no medical help, Drake was already a dead man walking. 

Frank didn’t kill him. There was no need to. In this frozen hell, a quick death would have been a mercy. Letting Drake rot slowly, consumed by fear, was the truest form of despair. 

It was only fitting. He deserved to feel every ounce of the agony Joan had suffered. 

Drake slunk away, utterly humiliated. His crew had been powerless against Frank’s first move. A single man had taken them apart, inflicting heavy losses and forcing them into repeated retreats. 

Some were missing arms or legs. Others were bruised and bleeding heavily. The whole group looked like they’d just crawled out of hell. 

Frank just stared at their pathetic retreat, a cold, mocking smile on his face. 

‘Weren’t they the ones who said anyone bleeding should be tossed out to feed the zombies? Now let’s see how they handle it when it’s their own people,’ Frank thought, his cold smirk growing wider. 

Sure enough, it wasn’t long before terrified screams and shocked shouts came from up top. 

Inside the RV, Molly stood next to Chloe and apologized. “Sorry, Chloe. I did it on purpose–I wanted Drake to get a good look inside.” 

Molly fidgeted nervously with her clothes, clearly uneasy. 

“That was the only way to spark their greed and make them fight each other,” Molly explained. 

Chloe looked at her coolly, her tone calm. “Aren’t you afraid your dad can’t handle them?” 

Molly answered with total confidence, “Chloe, I can sense danger. My dad’s tough as nails. He’ll be fine. And I can feel you’re the real boss around here, probably the leader.” 

Chloe gave off a vibe that was both dangerous and smart. 

Molly could sense that if she didn’t come clean, Chloe would definitely get mad. 

Chloe raised an eyebrow and gave Molly a long look. Something about this kid seemed familiar, like she’d seen her somewhere before. 

“Your name’s Molly?” Chloe asked. 

“Yes,” Molly said. 

Molly looked nervous, afraid Chloe wouldn’t like her, especially since she’d already played a little game the first time they 

met. 

“Molly?” Chloe echoed, her voice stumbling in surprise. 

Chloe froze with her fork halfway to her mouth, then whipped her head around, her voice shooting up. “Wait, what did you just say your name was?”

Molly shrank back at Chloe’s sudden reaction. ‘Oh no, I’m doomed. Chloe’s mad at me for sure, she thought, panic rising in 

her chest. 

“M–Molly,” she choked out, her voice thick with emotion and on the verge of tears. 

‘They were so awful… I just got so angry and said all that, Molly thought, guilt twisting in her chest. ‘Is Chloe really going to send me away?‘ 

“Are you seven? Got a prophetic power? Can you sense danger before it hits? And do you have a big red birthmark on the bottom of your foot?” Chloe rattled off the questions one after another. 

Molly was caught off guard by the barrage. She could tell Chloe was super excited, but didn’t seem mad at her at all. 

She nodded quickly. “Uh–huh.” 

Emily was confused as hell. “Chloe, how do you know all that about Molly? Even the birthmark on her foot?” 

Chloe didn’t answer. She just held out her hand to Molly. “I’m officially asking you to join us. Are you in?” 

Frank paused in the doorway, totally speechless, his face caught somewhere between shock and “what the hell?“. 

Back when he tried to join the crew, he went through hell and back. He chased them down, risked his neck, and did everything short of groveling. And even then, nobody ever gave him a proper invite. 

Now his kid was getting treated like a VIP out of nowhere. That was a curveball. 

‘No way Chloe the boss lady would ever do something nice for someone without a reason, Frank thought, eyeing her warily. “Wait, is she actually smiling?‘ – 

Frank, Emily, and Mindy, who had just walked in, just stood there, mouths hanging open. 

‘Who would’ve thought Chloe would really smile at Molly? This kid’s really something,‘ they all thought, totally shocked. 

If they could hear what was really going on in Chloe’s head, they’d know Molly was seriously important to her. 

Back in her previous life, Molly was straight–up legendary. 

It wasn’t her fighting skills that made her famous. It was her insane support powers. 

She was a prophetic powered human. 

Basically, she could call out good or bad luck, sense danger before it hit, and get the whole crew prepped for a fight way ahead of time. 

Her squad wasn’t exactly top–tier, but thanks to having a prophetic powered human like Molly, they always managed to see trouble coming and turn every mission around, no matter how bad things got. 

She was the absolute core of the team. 

‘Guess they didn’t make it in my previous life,‘ Chloe thought, since she’d never heard anything about Frank or Joan back 

then. 

Suddenly, Joan cried out in pain, her voice barely more than a whisper. 

Right after, Liana finally breathed a huge sigh of relief. 

“It’s here! The baby is here,” she shouted, her voice trembling with excitement. “I can’t believe it. The baby actually survived.”
