Night had fallen, the moon bright with only a few scattered star Inside the winery’s party hall, all eyes were fixed on Edwina and Abby
ac
Felix raised his hand in a courteous gesture and said, “Ladies, who would like to go first?
more time to
Abby stepped forward, looking gentle and understanding. “I’ll go first. That way, Edwina can have a little more prepare
“Alright, the tasting officially begins.” Felix clapped his hands, and a row of professional sommeliers in tailcoats and white gloves emerged from the back, each carrying a bottle of wine.
The bottles were opened and poured on the spot, every movement smooth and practiced. All labels were concealed, and by sight alone, there was no way to tell them apart.
Abby cast a faintly disdainful glance at Edwina. She lifted her glas and slowly tilted it to a forty–five degree angle, studying it under the bright lights of the hall. She gave the glass a gentle swirl, watching the way the liquid moved inside.
Her motions were flawless and precise, perfectly by the book. Een Felix couldn’t help but nod in approval.
Since the Hoffman family and the Lennoxe family had formed close ties, Abby had grown up immersed in wine culture and had learned quite a few real skills.
Abby took a sip and gave her answer confidently, “Black Cat Estate, the Navensy series.”
Certain she was right, Abby lifted her chin slightly and said. “Edwina, your turn
“Oh, Edwina replied. She picked up her glass as well and drank down in one go, smacking her lips lightly as her tongue brushed the trace of wine at the corner of her mouth
The crowd erupted in murmurs. Who tasted wine like that? It was crude and unpleasant to watch.
Fortunately, we had bet on Abby. This time, Kelvin was bound to lose badly.
Yet when people looked at Kelvin, he remained calm and unburned, as if the outcome were already settled. Whispers spread through the crowd, quietly mocking how well he kept up appearances,
Edwina spoke again, not even bothering to repeat the wine’s name. “She’s right.”
Another wave of laughter rippled through the hall.
Felix frowned deeply and looked at Edwina with obvious displeasure. He asked, “Miss Lennox, do you not plan to share any of your own thoughts?”
Edwina answered evenly. “I tasted it. Her answer is correct. What else is there to say?”
Abby let out a soft scoff and said with practiced grace, “It’s alright, Mr. Hoffman. Let’s continue.”
With no other choice, Felix signaled for the sommeliers to proced.
“Chateau Cornage, the Risando Cabernet line, Ally said smoody.
“Oh, she’s right, Edwina responded.
“Mountain Vine Estate, Amber Omoro, Abby continued.
“Yes, that one is right too, Edwina replied.

Chapter 20
Abby tasted five glasses in succession, while Edwina finished five full glasses of red wine without pause. Peter finally spoke boldly to Kelvin. “Mr. Gibson, looks like I’ll be taking a share of that 90 million dollars Kelvin’s expression didn’t change. He curled his lips slightly and said, “Not yet:”
Soon, the sixth glass was brought forward.
As usual. Abby lifted the glass and took a light sniff, but this time her mind turned up nothing
A flash of panic rose, only to be quickly suppressed as Abby shif the pressure onto Edwina.
She said, “I’ve already answered quite a few and taken enough of the spotlight. This time, let Miss Lennox go first.”
The higher the tier, the harder the wine was to judge, with increasingly complex blends.
Felix was eager to see Edwina make a fool of herself and readily greed. Then Miss Lennox. you first.”
Edwina picked up the glass calmly and, just like before, drank it one go. After so many glasses, a faint flush colored her cheeks, making her features stand out even more under the dazing lights.
Abby watched her with a pleased expression, exchanging a glance with Desmond in the crowd, then asked, “Well, Miss Lennox, did you figure out what this one is?”
Edwina set the glass down and replied lightly, “It’s only starting from the sixth tier that the wines at your winery become interesting.
Felix’s face darkened. “Edwina, that’s an awfully arrogant thing to say. Those first five relied entirely on Abby to…”
Before he could finish, Edwina continued, “A Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon blend. Black fruit in the opening, blackcurrant in the middle, and red grape at the finish.
“Red grapes are common, but the fruit in this bottle should have been flown in from Edriapoca. Only grapes from there can produce this profile.
“Felix, you do have talent for winemaking, but this wine should be stored at zero degrees. Otherwise the flavor suffers. You should lower the temperature in your cellar.”
The whole room went dead silent..
Even Abby had only named the wines in the first five rounds.
Yet for this high difficulty sixth glass, Edwina had identified every layer and even pointed out a flaw.
On stage, Abby’s eyes widened in disbelief. She pinned her last lope on Felix, wishing he would dismiss it as nonsense.
Instead. Felix’s expression was even more stunned than Abby’s.
The sommelier removed the seal from the bottle. The name at the base was clearly written. Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon Blend. Not a single detail was off.
Sparse applause followed, with only Kelvin clapping openly, chering for Edwina. After all, he was the only one who had bet
on her.
After a long pause, Felix finally asked in a low voice, “How did you know this was my wine?”
Edwina lifted an eyebrow inwardly. ‘Not just yours. Even your father’s wine gets drunk often
Felix swallowed and said. “Everything is correct

A thin sheen of sweat appeared on Abby’s face. Her fingers twist the fabric of her dress into a tight knot. She really knew. Why did she know?
Felix’s attitude shifted immediately. He bowed slightly and gested respectfully, inviting Edwina to taste the seventh glass.
Edwina swirled the now empty glass and said with ease, Romance Conti, Grand Cru. This one is placed too high at the
seventh tier.
“It’s expensive and rare, yes, but the flavor is average. There’s too much machine production and too little handcraft. It’s not as interesting as that blend you made.”
“Really?” Felix’s eyes shone with joy. Being acknowledged by her felt like an immense honor
Inwardly, Felix marveled. No examining the color, no smelling, ust drinking, yet the judgment is this precise. This’s no ordinary expert
Edwina continued all the way to the tenth glass, never missing of ce.
Even Felix couldn’t stop applauding as he announced, “She’s the first person since our winery was founded to correctly identify all ten.
“Edwina Lennox is the world’s top wine taster without question. As for today’s bet, I hereby declare the winners. Edwina and Kelvin.”
