Chapter 194
The peaceful feeling from our family day was still in my heart, but I knew I had to put it in a safe place. Today was not about playing tag or skipping stones. Today was about protecting the future of my relationship and my children.
The Council had sent a message. They were coming back. They wanted a “formal meeting.” In the world of wolves, that is just a fancy way of saying they wanted to judge me. They wanted to see if I was too dangerous to stay in power.
I stood in front of the tall mirror in my room. I didn’t want to look like a victim today. I didn’t want to look like the “coward” my Pa once called me. I wore a long white dress made of heavy silk. It was the color of my wolf. On my neck, I wore a silver necklace that Astor had given me. It felt cool against my skin.
I looked at my eyes. They were brown, but deep inside, there was a spark of white light that
never went away now.
“Are you ready?” Astor asked. He was standing at the door. He was wearing his black Alpha suit. He looked strong and scary, but when he looked at me, his eyes were soft.
“I am ready,” I said. “I am done hiding, Astor. I am done letting old men decide if I am allowed to exist.”
“Good,” Astor said. He walked over and kissed my forehead. “Because I am right behind you. If they bark at you, I will bite.”
We walked down to the main meeting room of the Pack House.
The six Alphas of the Council were already there. The alpha King also decided to bless us with his presence because he was sitting at the head of the table. They all looked very serious. When we walked in, they didn’t stand up. They just stared at us. They were trying to show us that they were the bosses.
I didn’t wait for them to tell me to sit. I walked to the end of the table and pulled out the big chair. I sat down and folded my hands on the table. Astor sat right next to me.
“Luna Faith,” Alpha Thorne said. His voice was like stones rubbing together. “We have been talking about what happened in the basement. We have talked about the jars and the magic.”
“And?” I asked.
“And we are worried,” another Alpha said. His name was Alpha Grissom. He had a big scar on his face. “A White Wolf has the power of a hundred Alphas. If you decided to attack us, we
what in be strong enough to stop you. You could take over every pack in the world.”
I looked at him. I let a small smile touch my lips, but it wasn’t a happy smile.
s that what you think I want?” I asked. “Do you think I spent six months away from my children because I wanted more work? Do you think I fought Silas because I wanted his territory?”
“We don’t know what you want,” the alpha King said. “That’s the problem. We need to know that you will follow the Council’s laws. We were thinking that maybe you should move to the Council’s main city. So we can… help you manage your power.”
“Manage?” I laughed. The sound was sharp in the quiet room. “You mean you want to put me in a cage. Just like Silas wanted to put my spirit in a jar.”
“It is not a cage, Grissom argued. “It is for safety.”
I stood up slowly. I didn’t slam the table. I just stood up. But as I did, the temperature in the room started to drop. The windows began to fog up from the cold.
“Listen to me very carefully,” I said. My voice was very quiet, but it filled every corner of the room. “I am the Luna of the Eternal Pack. This is my home. This is where my mate and my children are.”
I leaned forward, putting my weight on my hands.
“But you forget something,” I continued. “I am also the alpha of the Crescent Pack. My heart belongs to two packs now. The Eternal Pack and the Crescent Pack.”
The Alphas looked at each other. They knew that if I united those two packs, I would be the most powerful leader in history.
“I am a White Wolf,” I said. My eyes began to glow with a bright, blinding light. “I have the power to heal, and I have the power to destroy. I want to be your friend. I want to stand with the Council. I want our world to be peaceful.”
I paused, letting the white light from my eyes hit each one of them.
“But,” I said, and now my voice sounded like a roar of a thousand wolves. “If you try to do anything against me… if you try to hurt my mate, or my children, or any member of my two packs then you will find out why the legends tell people to fear the White Wolf.
I walked around the table, moving towards the Alpha king. He tried to look brave, but he leaned back in his chair.
“I have been a coward before,” I said, thinking about the months I spent running away. “I have

$425 Points been a victim. I have been a weak but I am none of those things anymore. I am your best ally if you are fair. But if you try to cross me? I will be your worst enemy. And trust me, Alphas… you do not want to be my enemy.”
I reached out and touched the heavy wooden table. I let a tiny spark of power hit the wood. A long split appeared in the middle of the table, running from one end to the other.
The Alphas jumped back. Their chairs scraped against the floor.
“I am staying here,” I said. “I will lead the Eternal Pack with my husband. I will protect the Crescent Pack from any threat. I will follow your laws as long as they are just. But do not ever mention ‘supervision‘ or ‘monitoring‘ to me again.”
The room was deadly silent. You could hear the clock on the wall ticking. Tick. Tick. Tick.
The Alpha King looked at the cracked table. Then he looked at Astor. Astor was just sitting there, looking very proud of me. He didn’t look like he was going to stop me. He looked like he was ready to help me break the rest of the room.
Thorne cleared his throat. He stood up, and this time, the other Alphas stood up too.
“Luna Faith,” Thorne said. He didn’t sound like a judge anymore. He sounded like a man who knew he was outmatched. “We hear you. We understand your position.”
“Good,” I said. The light in my eyes faded. The room started to get warm again.
“We will accept your leadership of the two packs,” The Alpha king said. “We will treat the Eternal Pack and the Crescent Pack as a united territory under your protection. We hope for a long and peaceful partnership.”
“So do I,” I said.
They left the pack house and drove away in their black cars. I watched them from the window until they were gone.
I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around my waist. Astor pulled me back against his chest. “That was amazing,” he whispered in my ear. “I think Alpha Grissom almost wet his pants.”
I laughed and leaned my head back against him. “I meant every word, Astor. I am done being pushed around.”
“I know you did,” he said. “And that’s why the pack is safe. You didn’t just save us from Silas. You saved us from the Council, too.”
We stood there for a long time, looking out at our land. I thought about the journey I had

taken. I thought about my childhood, my teebagehood, my relationship with Astor, my brother Kyle, thespirit jars and the “dark magic.”
All of that was in the past now.
I felt a pull in my heart. It was my bond with the Crescent Pack. Even though I was here, I could feel my pack was happy. They knew their Alpha was strong. They knew they were protected.
“What now?” Astor asked.
“Now,” I said, turning around in his arms, “we go find our kids. I think Marco wanted to show me a magic trick.”
“And then?”
“And then,” I said, kissing him deeply, “we live our lives. Just us.”
We walked out of the meeting room, leaving the cracked table behind. It was a symbol of the old world breaking, and a new world beginning. A world where the White Wolf was no longer a legend to be feared, but a Queen to be loved.
The sun was shining bright outside, and for the first time in my life, I knew exactly who I was and exactly where I belonged. I was Faith. I was the White Wolf. And I was finally, truly, home.
