37 Andrew the Creep 

I was touched by his passion. If only Louis knew I’d already been through all of that and lost miserably in court in my past life. 

“I can’t,” I said to him. 

“Why not?” He asked. 

“Is it the money that’s an issue? If it is I can help you get the lawyers and resources you need,” he offered to help. 

“Absolutely not!” I immediately refused. “No, I can’t use you like that Louis.” That would be wrong on so many levels. I just met him today after so many years and now I was going to go Not to mention he’s younger than me? That would just look so bad. Even if I could use his money and resources to fight Keith in court there’s no guarantee I would win anyway. Keith was also a billionaire with lots of resources to get the best lawyers. All that would change was we would level the playing field. 

“Jasmine, you haven’t changed a much have you? I wish you would be more selfish,” he said to me. “You should take advantage of the resources around you!” 

If only Louis understood that money wasn’t the only issue. In my past life I had sued Keith and the plethora of things Diana had done behind the scenes to sabotage my cases was shocking. 

“Which is exactly why I will fight and find another way to make sure my son has something to inherit in the future,” I told him with a determined expression on my face. I hadn’t given up I just wanted to do things differently. And what did he mean by I hadn’t changed? I was set to die in six years I didn’t have time to fight Keith in court. I had the 50,000 from the luxury I would make a plan to invest from there. 

“Look Louis, marriage is hard you’ll understand one day whe-” I tried telling him. 

“Don’t give me that; you don’t understand because you’re too young bull crap,” he stopped me. 

I pressed my lips together as I looked at him he was not 

“Jasmine, are you sure you’re alright with this?” He asked me. 

“I’m fine. But I genuinely appreciate your concern,” I expressed my gratitude. I don’t think anyone had EVER asked me if I was alright whilst going through all this. From the

time Keith left me in my past life to now that I’d gone back in time, it was just my sone and I with no by our side. It was nice knowing someone did care. ↑ 

“Well I’m not okay with the situation but it seems there’s no changing your mind,” 

Louis said to me at a loss. 

“Then at the very least, you can do this much for me,” he said. “Give me your phone.” 

I looked at him in confusion but I took my phone out of my handbag. I unlocked it for him and passed it over. He took it and typed something on it. 

‘That’s my number,” he showed me. He then reached into his trouser pocket and took out his phone. 

He then called his number on my phone so he also had my number. “If you you ever need anything don’t hesitate to call me, alright?” he asked me like a worried parent. 

“Alright,” I agreed. I wanted to ‘dad‘ to joke about him being a parent but then held back since he was my boss. 

“I’m not sure when we’ll see each other again I don’t go to that restaurant often,” he said to me. 

“So this means you’re not going to fire me?” I then asked him. Confirming he was fine with me working at his restaurant. 

He let out a sigh. “You shouldn’t be this excited about working as a waitress, but yes. I’m worried you’ll sleep on the streets due to your lack of selfishness if I did fire you,” he said to me in a teasing manner. 

“Come on not too much now,” I told him to go easy on me. 

He gave me one last smile. “Good night, Jasmine,” 

“Goodnight, Louis,” I said it back to him. 

I watched him walk away heading to his car outside the gate. That was no longer the adorable little snot nosed chubby kid I knew growing up. He had grown into a fine caring man. I was glad. I envied his girlfriend/future wife they were in good hands. 

I looked at the number he’d saved on my phone. I had no intentions to call him. A sweet kid like him shouldn’t hang around someone with a bad reputation like me. Tony was already suffering because of that. I didnt want to drag someone else down as well.

“Yesterday I was so scared for you, that weird supervisor was on your case,” Megan said to me. It was mid–morning and we had just finished breakfast service. We were now getting ready to prepare tables for lunch service. 

“Yes I thought I had lost the job for sure,” I told Megan as folded some table napkins. Thank goodness for Louis otherwise things would have gone south for me. 

“Honestly, I don’t know what wrong with that guy, he’s such a creep,” she went on to say. I knew she was referring to Mr Gatwick and his gross misogynistic and predatory 

comments. 

“I’ve heard he acts like that towards young women at all the other garden house restaurants as well! And does worse things,” Megan went on. 

“What?” I said in disbelief.How repulsive. “Does the CEO know he’s like this?” I asked 

her. 

“I wouldn’t know, but I doubt it. I mean the supervisor only acts like that when the CEO isn’t around to see him, which is often,” she informed me. 

I was uncomfortable at the fact that a man like Andrew was working with Louis. Surely Louis didn’t know about his predatory behaviour because be a why would he let him 

work for him? 

Mike walked past us and I noticed Megan suddenly went quiet. She glared at him as he walked by. 

“Hey, Jasmine,” he greeted me however he’s eyes weren’t on me they were focused on 

Megan. 

“Hi Mike,” I responded awkwardly as I stared at the two of them. Once past us Megan continued to glare in his direction. 

“Whatever’s going on between you two feels like an HR violation waiting to happen,” I commented once Mike was gone. 

“I’m ignoring him,” she told me. Well that much was obvious I thought to myself.
