65 Evidence points to JasmineÂ
KEITHS POVÂ
I sat in my home office, contemplating. I felt like I was again in a similar situation to the decision I had to make 10 years ago. Choosing between Jasmine and Diana. My head had been scrambled since my last visit to Jasmine’s home. I had felt like something was wrong but I couldn’t put my finger on it.Â
I was starting to doubt what I had thought was true. The evidence pointed to Jasmine every time but her recent actions were starting to make me question whether she was guilty. However, the alternative had me pointing the finger at Diana whose image seemed squeaky clean.Â
I sighed as I rolled away from the desk in my chair and spun to the balcony window doors that were nearby. I looked out at the night sky.Â
Right now Diana was visiting Jasmine in an attempt to get through to her. I felt a little uncomfortable with Diana visiting Jasmine due to their history. However, I sent some guards with her so she should be fine if something did happen.Â
I knew both women for roughly the same amount of time. I knew Diana for 6 years before marrying Jasmine plus the last two years when she returned. I had been with Jasmine for the last 9 years.Â
I found myself comparing the two women. Diana was a lot more straightforward she expressed how she felt clearly making her easier to understand and trust. Jasmine was always reserved, quiet, and never displayed her emotions. A stereotypical housewife. I didn’t know much about Jasmine before we married, she did not go to the socialite high school I went to.Â
Neither did she go to any high school for that matter. I found that strange but Jasmine never really talked about it so I didn’t pry. When the incidents started after Diana moved in with us I felt it was her showing her true personality now.Â
“Sir, Ms. Diana Rockford has returned, and is waiting for you outside the office,” a servant announced to me. I was brought out of my thoughts and turned in my chairto look at the servant.Â
“Let her in,” I told him.Â
Diana soon walked in and I took in her image wondering how her talk had gone. It wasÂ

then that it became apparent something bad had happened.Â
“Diana, what happened?” I asked her in horror. I went towards her, put my arms around her and looked at her face. Her eye was completely red and bruised.Â
“It was Jasmine, I was just trying to talk to her and then she suddenly punched me,” she explained as tears streamed down her face. “Luckily, the bodyguards stopped her, but it was so scary.”Â
She then snuggled into my arms and cried harder. I was shocked to hear this. I had been worried about sending Diana to Jasmine’s home but this isn’t what I had expected would happen had things gone south.Â
“Get a doctor here now!” I ordered the bodyguards that were nearby to call for the family doctor. I held and comforted Diana who was in shock for a while until the doctor arrived. Luckily, after being inspected the doctor confirmed that she wasn’t going to go bling and with time it would heal well. I was relieved.Â
I then spoke to the bodyguards and they confirmed that Jasmine had punched Diana and they had to intervene. I scoffed at this. 2Â
As I said before, the evidence always pointed to Jasmine. She claims to be innocent and yet here we were. That woman was going to make me lose my mind. She had to be lying and was trying to trick me. I mean how else do you explain this? It’s not like Diana punched herself. I was curious to see how she was going to explain this.Â
“Bring Jasmine to me first thing tomorrow evening,” I instructed my men. I had several meetings in the morning. The best time I could see her was the evening since I was working late at the office this evening and stay in for a while.Â
The following evening I waited for her to come to me. At the time I expected her to arrive one of my men came to me.Â
“She hasn’t returned to her house sir,” he said.Â
“What do you mean?” I asked him.Â
“They say they’ve been waiting for her for over an hour and she hasn’t returned home.”Â
I rolled my eyes she must have noticed them and left to avoid seeing me.Â
11Â
Tell them to come back,” I ordered. I’d try again tomorrow.Â
I then thought I should send her a message to let her know I needed to speak with her.Â

I had blocked Jasmine’s number and email so she wouldn’t contact me in the past but considering how she’d been acting lately I suppose I didn’t have to worry about that. I unblocked her number and sent her the message.Â
I waited for her response but she never got back to me. I was sure she had read it and ignored it. That woman.Â
I then had my men sent to her home the following morning. I would see her in my office then sinc I had no meetings that morning. I soon received a report that she wasn’t seen leaving the house but had made it to work and had dropped off Anthony.Â
My blood began to boil, I was trying to be civil with Jasmine but she was taking it too far now. I sent her another text that afternoon and again she ignored it.Â
With no choice, I had her forcefully brought to me that evening. I made the arrangements for that to happen. We would finally be done with this.Â
When she arrived and stood by the seating area of my office I turned round to face her.Â
Within a few minutes of speaking I became extremely annoyed. She had been dodging meeting me and now she was as usual refusing to take accountability for her actions. That in combination with that snarky attitude of hers when she spoke. She didn’t even sound sorry for hurting Diana.Â
