JASMINES POV
‘Jasmine where are you?‘ Keith texted me.
‘Where I am is none of your business. Just sign the papers Keith. I texted back.
He then texted me again. “Jasmine I can’t sign the papers like this!‘
Regardless, of Keith’s persistance I wasn’t going to talk to him. I didn’t want to hear
any more.
He then began calling, my phone my eyes widened in horror. This man wasn’t serious. I watched it ring but didn’t answer. He then called again after I didn’t pick up the first time.
Ignoring his calls and messages I then lay on my bed and went onto stargram to contact Rebecca. Stargram was a popular photo–sharing app and though I was on it, I didn’t post much. I found Rebecca’s handle and sent her a follow request I would have to wait and see if she accepted it not.
I then went on a buying website and bought the listening devices and mini
microphones Megan would need when she lured Gatwick in the future. They would be delivered the next day.
I then began doing research on Gatwick as I tried to find out more information on him. Checking his profile online from a quick search engine search I found out he had quite the record. He was 56, divorced and had worked in two companies before the Garden House. He had managerial roles in each one and worked in each for over a decade.
Later Tony and I had dinner together as Louis still hadn’t returned. It was some time after dinner that I saw Rebecca had accepted my follow request and followed back. I smiled in relief. I then contemplated how to start a conversation with her.
After a moment I then began typing. ‘Hey Rebecca, my name is Jasmine Towers, and I work at The Garden House restaurant where you used to work. I would like to ask you some questions about your time there if you don’t mind.’
A maid then informed me that Louis had returned later in the evening after I had already put Tony to bed. The maid said he was in his home office. I thanked her for informing me and decided to go and greet him.

She showed me the way to his office. I knocked and his familiar voice called for me to
enter the room.
He sat on a couch in the corner of the room, typing away on his laptop on his lap.
Even though he ran a smaller subsidiary of the company he still had a lot to do I guess.
“Good evening Jasmine,” he greeted me.
“Good evening Louis,” I greeted back. “Still working?”
“Just going through some reports I’ll have to send to HQ soon,” he explained. “When I was done I was going to pass by and say goodnight to you,” he told me.
“How was work?” I asked him as I approached him.
*Boring as usual,” he replied.
Intrigued by the designs and decorations in his office I began to look around, much like how I looked around when moving through his whole apartment.
*Of course make yourself right at home.” he commented as I looked around shamelessly.
“Is it a problem?” I asked him.
“No. I’m just kidding, go right ahead, he told me.
Then I stop at a bookshelf nearby where he sat. At first I was looking at the little statues on the bookshelves then my attention was drawn to the actual books on the shelf. They were work folders of the garden house. I read the titles on them and saw they were reports of all kinds on the restaurant for different years; financial reports, employee reports etc. Reading through the titles a thought came to my mind. Andrew worked on the reports to give to Louis perhaps there was something I could find in them. Reading the dates.
“Do you mind if I take a look at these?” I asked Louis.
Louis looked up at me and was silent for a moment as he processed my question.
“Im assuming this is to do with whatever you’re working on right at the restaurant, right?” he asked
I nodded my head in response.
“Will you be able to understand them?” he asked me. I knew he was referring to the

fact that I hadn’t studied business so I’m sure a lot of the terminology as well as the way of might be confusing to me.
“No, but you yourself said it’s never too late to learn new things,” I repeated what he’d told me the other day.
He scoffed.“I guess so. Alright then, go ahead,” he accepted.
My eyes widened in surprise. “Really? Just like that.”
“Why do you seem so surprised?” he asked me.
“I don’t know I thought perhaps you’d be more protective of company files perhaps you don’t want random people knowing company secrets,” I told him.
“Jasmine what company secrets? This company will shut down in what a year or two? there’s really nothing to protect.” He replied. “Besides, I already told you I’m curious to see what all your efforts will amount to in the end.”
It will amount to me getting your creepy assistant in prison, I thought to myself.
I reached for a file that was on a shelf above my head that looked interesting. It was reports of the company from this year; 2015. I stood on my tippy toes to reach the folder and pulled it out. However, upon doing so I pulled on other folders beside it and they fell out together with the folder I pulled. At the same time I felt myself lose my
balance.
“Jasmine,” I heard Louis call out to me.
I expected the folders to drop on me as I fell to the floor. I closed my eyes anticipating it as there was nothing I could do to stop it. However, instead of getting smacked in the head, I instead, suddenly felt a warmth wrap around me. The sound of the folders falling on the floor reverberated around the room. However, I was left unscathed.
Opening my eyes I found I was still standing and above me were two muscular arms. One arm was covering my head and the other was close to my head holding onto the bookshelf.
