83 She said she doesn’t want you

Jasmine listen to me, I know you’re mad at me after the argument we had but you don’t have to take things this far.

“You’re refusing to divorce me?” I asked him in disbelief.

“I think you’re acting rather brashly out of emotion. Why don’t we talk about things together and figure things out,” he suggested.

“Keith you have a lover and the two of you are planning to married soon. It will be as you’ve always wanted. You can finally be with the woman you wanted to be with from the beginning. I just want to remove myself from the situation. So why don’t you just let me and my son be and as you two do your thing,” I told him.

“You always say my son as if he’s only yours,” he commented ignoring everything else I was saying.

“That’s because only one of us seems to give a shit about him,” I snapped at him. “You doubt that he’s your son anyway and you completely abandoned him ever since you had us moved out of the main mansion.”

“I don’t doubt that he’s my son,” he said.

I rolled my eyes at that. He definitely entertained the rumors that spread initially when Diana presented Marco for the first time. Everyone started doubting whether he

was Keiths son.

“Keith I’m serious I no longer want to do this with you and Diana. I can’t do it anymore,” I told him as I began to turn away. “You made your choice. You chose Diana and that’s fine but I too want to make my own choice.”

“Even so Jasmine lets be realistic you can’t afford to take care of you and Anthony,” he started. “Keep in mind I pay for Anthonys school fees what are you going to send him to public school since you asked for no money?”

“Your money would be useless to me anyway Keith because I would never receive it,” I said to him.

“Not this argument again he complained.

He wasn’t listening to me I thought to myself. I was so annoyed by how he genuinely thought he was trying to help me. I decided to just walk away.

“Oh my gosh, Jasmine,” I heard him say then he suddenly grabbed my arm.

I turned to face him once more.

“Let go of me,” I told him to stop and tried to pull my arm away from his. Kyle, my bodyguard could only watch since he couldn’t touch Keith. He was Chairman Acland after all. Louis had assigned the bodyguards to protect me from Diana’s antics but against a powerful man like Keith there was not much they could do.

“Jasmine let’s go. enough of this. Let’s get you home,” he said. “Jasmine we both know you can’t afford no matter how much pride you have. We’ll discuss everything else later and the divorce but you need me Jasmine. Where are you and Anthony staying? I’ll get your things and have you sent back home.”

“Im telling you. I do have a place to say and I will be able to to take care of my son,” I replied as I fought for him to release me.

“Jasmine be honest with yourself you have no one. Your family has abandoned you and you don’t have any friends. I am your only hope,” he told me.

My eyes widened in sadness at those words. I knew what he was saying was true but hearing him say it to me like this just made it sink in deeper for me. I didn’t have any friends, family to turn to. If it weren’t for Louis, Keith would be all I had. And since I couldn’t rely on him I had no one at all.

“I think she said she doesn’t want to talk to you,” A familiar male voice then said from behind me and the sound of footsteps approaching. I turned to look and found myself shocked by who it was.

Louis, I thought to myself in surprise. How, when did he get here? Following behind him I saw Harry, my other bodyguard. Had Harry gone to call Louis? Louis came to stand in between Keith and I. He then removed Keith’s arm from mine.

“The hell are you?” Keith asked Louis.

“Im Louis Carrington,” he introduced himself.

“Carrington?” Keith said as he looked Louis up and down. “As in the Carrington family group?”

“Yes, I am,” Louis answered.

“Aren’t you the owner of the Garden House?”

“I am,” he replied once again.

“Look I’m sorry for the trouble my wife has caused you working here, but I assure you have to worry about her any longer,” Keith said to Louis and he pushed past him to get

to me.

Howeve, Louis blocked his path to stop him from getting to me. “She said she doesn’t

want to talk to you any more.”

“And who are you to stop me? She’s my wife!” Keith snapped at him. “Dont stick your nose in things that don’t concern you boy,” Keith warned him.

“But it is my business. Your soon–to–be ex–wife came to me and requested I help her. I agreed and am simply doing as she requested,” Louis explained to him.

Keith almost laughed in disbelief. “What?Jasmine is this true?” Keith then asked me.

“Yes, it is,” I replied.

“Is this where you’re now staying? With him?” he asked me in utter disbelief.

“Yes,” I replied.

“No wonder I couldn’t find you.” he muttered under his breath. He then looked at me once more. “Jasmine, I never imagined you would go this far. Going to bother someone else. Is that why you started working here? So you would meet with him?” he asked

me.

I rolled my eyes at that. I met Louis by coincidence but I did understand how it looked. s

“Jasmine leave the Carringtons‘ out of this, and come home,” Keith said to me.

“Keith I don’t know if you’re being daft on purpose or not. I told you I made my choice the same way you made yours,” I said to him in frustration to emphasize Louis was my choice.

“But Jasmine-” Keith was about to argue.

“Last time I checked Jasmine is her own person and she can refuse to meet with you if she wants.,” Louis said to him. “You seem to be worried that Ms Towers won’t be able to take care of herself. I’ll take care of her and her son just fine. Neither is she a burden to me in fact I forced her to accept my help.”

“For what reason would you just agree to just help her?” Keith asked as he looked from Louis to me. Then a look of realization appeared on his face.”What, are you two together?”
